From what i have seen we got only 1 useable I9 essence (the mainhand) for punish builds.
The banner seems good for pve at best but who cares about pve because sader is already top there.
We got the usual crap sacred chain essence (god thx at shoulders), the chest essence which protects from dps only at front is already at some other form at game and not good.
The shield sharge essence will break most builds and have sure too limited uses and a long cd (but will test it), and the two banner essences are like i sayed maybe useable at pve but nowhere else.
Already disappointed again, no real shielding, cc immunity or something else for pvp, will test shield charge but other toons seems to have already a lot better stuff.

I am positive the designer in charge of crusader essences is long gone and they have no damn clue what to do with it.

I really hope that i not must play this damm horse build someday because there is no other option, heaving 1-2 kills each match and be guaranteed the last at every scoreboard dosent sound like something i want play.
I tried the head essence banner along with the standard formula - judgement+condemn+CoL. It made me tankier on idol. Granted my team doesn’t leave me alone on idol. New banner needs 3 more allies to maximize its effect. 40% damage reduction every 10sec with a 7sec duration is awesome. I played against big whales and even the one that had bout banners - druids, BKs, Barbs. Was able to push idols better. Again, you’ll need a team that doesn’t run away from fights.
Will be nearly impossible to use at battlegrounds i think because the people are all over the place there. I must confess that i am not a big fan of items that needs a certain number of players around you to become good, this is no raid game with full voice chat and mostly you play pvp with randoms.
The new mainhand is ok and i use it on my fist of heavens build now instead of wretch splitter but with this build you should not come too often at close combat so its maybe only a little enhancement.

Look at the new Inferno 9 shoulders essences. Why the hell would I want to take more damage from my opponents? Whoever is in charge of Crusaders essence design is retarded.

At this point i dont even think that a human is giving us this updates/essences, maybe its full AI generated. If really a human was designing this stuff he has absolute no understanding about the problems the sader has atm, maybe he thinks because sader wears a shield then he must be a tank.
We are the only toon that runs around with zero immunities, no working dashes, no selfheal or regenerating shields and with massive cooldowns or strifes on everything that could be a little helpful.
The question the designers should ask to themself is: Why would i play a sader above some bloodknight, druid, monk, dh or necro and there are no real answers to this question aside that he is very good at pve (like most other toons too).

I was thinking the same thing. um, sader are so squishy and no way to avoid cc other than sacrificing bubble shelds. Why would any sader abosrb damage for others when we can’t even survive ourselves. sooooo dumb!
