Necromancer's Unfair Advantages

Hi All, I want to talk about how unfair this game is right now.

Seriously, what is the deal with Necromancers in PVP? It’s not even a fair fight anymore. I know you guys at Blizzard love your little undead army, but come on. The “balance” is a joke. It feels like we’re all playing a completely different game from the Necro player.

First, let’s talk about the Necro’s biggest scam: being a tank and a DPS at the same time.

It’s just not right. They have insane damage, melting health bars like butter, but they’re also unkillable? They can just float around like a ghost, immune to everything, while their poison ticks you down to zero. It’s the most passive-aggressive way to kill someone. “Oh, you thought you could fight me? That’s cute. Just stand there and die while I’m a ghost, lol.” And don’t even get me started on their poison canceling your heals. How is that supposed to be fun or fair for anyone else?

And to the people who say “but it’s their only survival skill”

Give me a break. Some of us have legit useless skills. Demon Hunter’s Daring Swing? It’s a glorified hop that gets interrupted constantly. The range is pathetic, and to even get it to work twice, you need to use specific gear essences. It’s a whole ordeal just to have a decent escape. The Necro, on the other hand, just clicks one button and becomes invincible. Zero skill, zero risk. Then, with a few extra pieces of gear and paragon points, they’re basically invincible for like, 12 seconds straight. That’s a full-on nap time for them while you’re standing there wondering what to do.

But some people says it’s a whale problem!

Nice try. We all know resonance is a mess, but that’s not the whole story. Even at the same spending tier, Necromancers have way more impact on a match. Pit a Necro against a Monk with the same reso, and the Necro is going to dominate almost every time. Sure, higher spenders make everything worse, but pretending the classes are balanced at all is just ignoring the elephant in the room.

What about Tempest? They’re OP too!

Okay, fine, Tempest damage is crazy. But at least you can hit them! With a Necro, it’s not even a damage trade. It’s a damage receipt. They give it, you get it, and you can’t give anything back. There’s a huge difference between a class that does crazy damage but can be killed, and a class that does crazy damage while being completely untouchable.

Honestly, it’s just frustrating. I’m tired of feeling like I’m playing against a bug in the game rather than another player. Sort it out, please.

If they make Necro with that ghost form. there should be a counter of it from a particular skill from one other class, at least. Like example, a Monk maybe should have 1 skill that can counter Necros wraith form.

Another example, an OP skill of a wizard, should have a counter with a maybe 1 skill of a crusader.

Or a Demon Hunter has 1 skill that can counter, a Blood Knight’s skill, etc…

A class has like a rock, paper, scissors type advantage to other class. So there will be like variety, and add some balance to players, and groups of teams playstyle.

Hello, to everyone players and developers. Since the millenium i’m playing Diablo. Yeah DIablo 2 was the bait for me. Doesn’t matter the game is cool. FIrst in DIablo 2 and 3 is missing this social atmosphere, that’s the reason why i like so muck Diablo immortal even many guys said is P2W. I’m low reso player and i still love the game. BUT big , huge BUT, don’t destroy and this Diablo pls. I wil explain you what i mean.

When i played Diablo 2 it was very cool, many years, when you implemented all recipes with runes, to steal skills from other classes, the game died for me after that before couple of years, remastered=ok, but still same bul…. many site to buy runes, recipes and the last nail in the coffin was seasons. It was a great luck after few months is release of Diablo Immortal i started from first minute of the game till now i didn’t miss even one day to log in.

the problems: pls stop to make disbalance in the game cuz of some classes especially Necro, Barb and now still i can say the new char Druid. Understood not all players wants to play only this three classes .

Fix finally Necro OP in PVE and PVP. Pve its faster than crusader with horse and stack so much power with his last build to kill all bosses together , Pathetic. In PVP this ghost form is a few lvls over OP, The bubble of crusader it was 2 times, decrease like useful, first second bubble duration is on half time of first and second time it was skill of other classes to stop or remove it, why than this stupid ghost cant be remove or stop and even is untargetable WHYYY, tell me whyyyy. Like other guy said before all dots just come in ghost form 2 rounds , and run away and all dead even cant use portion of life

pls do something and fix it make it more playable this game for all classes

Second this probably its not for here but its for other OP class is Barb, pls remake the Undying, its much stronger than than all other survival skill except the ghost, but its still so powerfull, low CD , 3 seconds immune to all and 60 % life regeneration pls do something like last update for Druid. Don’t make us to regret to play this game. Patient but everything has a limits. Thanks for the developers and support staff for the great game keep in touch and take care.

Thats a sad story, but it seems we will have deal with it for long time.
If we talk about balance, necro is way ahead of any other class at the beginning of 2026.
Not going too deeply, i think it is more than obvious for everyone who dare to open his eyes and watch what is happening, ill just mention couple of fixes or maybe even hot-fixes that should be introduced to the game like YESTERDAY.

  • Dot range - Ridiculous! He just Wraith Form around you for a second while immune to damage and cc and you are taking damage for like more than a minute after, and also literally disabling your bandage?
    *Suggestion: Any DoT range should be limited to not more than 2 screens away, as addition any DoT should be totally removed if the source is being not just completely killed, but also he’s gladiator or savior proc.
  • Wraith Form - Ridiculous! Uptime of WF should be significantly reduced! From the current ~50% uptime to something that will get them near Barb, Sader and Monk similar skills.
    At this current states the WF is probably the most op skill in this game, since it brings not just dmg immunity like Undying Rage, CoL and Shield of Zen, but also give the character decent amount of movement speed and all that at 50% uptime ?
    *Suggestion: Wraith Form Cooldown is now 30 seconds and its duration last for 1.5-2.0 seconds, in addition it doesn’t grant full immunity to CC anymore, instead reduce the effect of CC received for like 30% but not more. Example - That cc imunity remove will give a chance to CC relied class to defend himself. If necro try to chase CC wizz with wraityt for, the wizz should be enter to counter him with slow and chill so he can at least escape at safe distance. Right now necro is abble to WF out of wizz’s range, dive in and get to the wizz to apply dots, get back out of wizz’s range before WF expire. Fair?
  • Fateful Frame essence: Grim Scythe mark enemy for 6 seconds and if marked enemy is attacked 5 times the enemy take some decent ammount of damage.
    With all them dots stacking together, this helmet effect is broken. Even very low reso player with low level legendary gems based on DoTs and low Potency can provide significant damage based on this helmet effect.
    Suggestion: Fateful frame can not proc now more often than once per 0.5 or 1 seconds, just like Barb’s Grinning Effigy essence - Taking dmg during Undying Rage triggers a counter for XX amount of damage. Cannot Occur more often than once every 0.5 seconds. Also it’s proc range should be significantly limited.
  • Grace 4th piece - exactly the same as Fateful Frame essence. Proc too often tnx to DoTs, it has unlimited range, and too long duration.
    Suggestion: Same as Fateful Frame essence. Need significant rework.
  • Fully immunity to Restitution of Blood 4th piece set.
    Example: Wizzard land a Meteor over a necro, then necro goes Wraith Form. Afet Fated Prey ends, it deals XX amount of dmg, increased by…
    Fated Prey expire after 2.5 seconds, necro’s Wraith Form last for 5+ seconds, so literally this new set bonus is totally useless against Necro.
  • Scattered Light essence. This essence need very serious rework!
  • Not just necro is fully immune to CC more than 50% of the time, but they also get tons of mages that sacrifice themself to remove the CC from the player(the necro) when it necessary. So if you manage to take him off-guarded with his WF in cooldown not ready to be used, he still have very serious CC immune mechanic thanks to all the mages he is having and them being ready to remove the CC. It doesn’t seems fair to me!
    Additionally: Every single mage that is active at the moment should be fully stunned when the player’s gladiator or savior proc. Lets say you fighting a necro. Wraith Form for 5 seconds, you survive and then attack him to proc his gladiator, then wraith form again another 5 second, you survive and manage to proc his savior, wraith form again, you survive and manage to kill him. That should be what? Like at least 15 seconds? Ignore DoT’s broken mechanics, imagine he is not using a single DoT gem,just his mages by thenself are still going to proc his Fateful Frame and 4th piece Grace insane amount of times since their hit very often, their range is very high and they don’t stop shooting, no matter what CC or stuns the player is getting. CC, stun, chill, slow and so on should be added to the mages when the player receive them.

I know many people will say here that Wraith Form is the only defensive mechanism that necro is having. Even before they said that i’d like to counter them. A skill that is making a player unmarketable for more than 50% uptime, also immune to CC and on top of that it gives decent amount of movement speed is not a defensive mechanism, but broken mechanic that should not exist in the game 2026.
