Lower the weekly Elder Rifts to 140

280 , already down from 320 the last time i played, is still too much for general players per week. Suggest down to 140 with double the Fading Embers, from 10 original to 20 or the relevant amount bases on number of run. As ppl get many legendary if played long enough, it limits general players to do others content like rock farimg and open world explore. Just doing daily things already used general players time a day can afford like 1-2 hrs , esp when u have 5 characters. Look for the change

I think I see the problem here. If you’re playing 5 different characters, you’ll need to allocate the time appropriatelly for all of them. If don’t have enough time for all of them, you can’t afford playing all of them.

Playing multiple characters is a terrible excuse to unnecessarily cut down the effort needed to put in just because you don’t have enough time.

I play one character only and have zero issues maxing the 400 weekly embers with super casual play.

it takes me 5-6 min per day and I cap this weekly. Others should not be punished for your lack of time management, they’ve also made capping easier with using crests after the 120 is capped

Well, assuming you do three runs in a 4-man party, putting 10 crests each in, per run, to cap out your Bonus Fading Embers (120), those also contribute 30 Fading Embers towards the Normal cap, leaving you with 250 Fading Embers to earn, at 10 per Elder Rift run.

As long as the layout isn’t awful, I can generally solo an Elder Rift in 30-45 seconds. Let’s say it’s an average of 40 seconds per run. 25 of those is 25 * 40 = 1000 seconds = 16 minutes 40 seconds. That’s under 20 minutes a week.

If you did 4 Elder Rifts every day, that would be 28 Elder Rifts in the week, which is exactly the number you need to do to cap your Fading Embers. At 40 seconds per Elder, that’s under 3 minutes per day.

As shown above, you could do 4 Elder Rifts a day in under 3 minutes total. Even if you did this on five heroes every day, that would still only be 15 minutes per day. The issue isn’t that this activity takes 20 minutes per week, it’s that you’re doing it so many times.

Don’t ask for the race to be shorter, just because you’re running it five times.

Have u played the game and read the contents description carefully? It doesn’t have any impact on what u are talking, do my suggestion change anything on the rewards? Don’t be a Keyboard Warriors。

i cap it easily, 280 takes 4 runs without crest per day to cap. So thats less then 5 min per day. If you cap your 120 with crests then any crests used after that give you bonus completion to the 280 cap making it even faster.

Does it change rewards? 100% You get 1.25 purple crests per week from fading embers. If you reduce the # per week you are effecting all mid to f2p players giving them less time to earn a purple crest.

Doing the 28 Elder Rifts to cap Fading Embers takes under 20 minutes total per week. Stop asking for content to be trivialised for everyone just because you’re choosing to do it five times over. This isn’t an issue with the content, this is an issue that you’re doing it five times and wanting the content to be adjusted to players like you, rather than the vast majority of players who have just one hero.

They should increase it to 640. Or 700. 100 points per day!

Are you collecting Embers with five alts (or four alts and 1 main?) to craft Eternal Legendary Crests and funnel the platinum to your main character?
Are you asking to change the game just so you can more easily funnel platinum to your main character?
Of course, improving the game’s convenience is a good thing, but the reasoning behind that request is nonsensical.

Let’s assume he’s not doing this for funneling since he would have to be stupid not to just create a party with multiple accounts.

But then again, I have no idea why anyone needs 5 toons other than funneling.

Who said that they play with 5 toons because they need to?

I’ve been playing with 5 toons almost since day 1 and I’ve never used them to “funnel”. I started different characters (in the same account and server) because I wanted to try the different classes (back in the day, there were only 6 classes available and you couldn’t change every 24 hours from one to another, like now). I got used to play every day with all of them (of course, I never expected to do everything or reach all daily/weekly maximums of whatever loot can be obtained).

Now I have 5 characters, all of them close to 1300 Paragon, all of them with more than 56K CR. But each one in a different class, different resonance levels, different gems, different… everything. So instead of playing all day long with one character and changing class the next day, I play some time every day with each character and don’t need to change classes.

Why do I “need” to do this? I don’t. It’s just the way I like to play the game. If I had decided to stick to one single character, I would have got bored and quit the game years ago. Besides, I’ve also got used to avoid many “chores” in the game, not because they would take time, but simply because I don’t like to do them

EDIT: I know that I am a weird player, if compared to the Diablo Immortal “average”, but, like I always say: To each our own…

Perhaps so, but you’re also not asking for the game to be adapted to cope with the weirdness.

Fernando was replying to my strawman comment on why anyone “needs 5”.

Thanks for the perspective. OP might be in a similar situation but wants to accomplish all activities.

If my assumption is incorrect, I apologize to the OP.
Sometimes there seem to be “weird ” people who level multiple toons purely for their own enjoyment, without any ‘funneling’ intent. There was one person like that on my server as well (though I don’t see him much anymore). However, I don’t really know the full story behind whether they are truly raising multiple toons solely out of pure intention.

I agree with reducing the playtime of Elder Rifts, but the current amount of playtime isn’t really burdensome. Rather, other content is the issue.
