On Monday (February 9th) the servers will increase to Paragon 1280.
Players can potentially reach Paragon 1300 and equip any Inferno 11 items they have pre-farmed.
However, this means that your hero needs to reach Server+20 to accomplish this.
As your hero’s paragon level increases above the server’s paragon level, you gain less and less of your earned XP until, eventually, you are only gaining 1% of XP. It is near impossible, once your hero is at that level of XP penalty, to farm the XP in the usual manner, i.e. grinding open-world mobs or dungeons. This leaves you with First Kill Bonuses from Raid Bosses and Gauntlets.
The very first time you kill a new Raid Boss, or complete a Gauntlet, your hero is granted 2,000,000 XP at a flat rate, i.e. this awarded XP is NOT affected by your hero’s XP modifier. You will get a straight 2 million XP for each boss / gauntlet first completed.
So, what level do you have to grind your hero up to before using these First Kill Bonuses? Well, that depends on how many first kills you can do, i.e. how many of the Inferno 11 bosses and whether you kept things like Inferno 9 and 10 Gauntlets or not. Let’s see…
