The armor sets from G8 and now G11 are rather underwhelming and nearly just a color swap of armor we already have multiple sets of and is super common. Even the BP armor is more impressive. It’d be nice if you could return to what you did with the earlier gauntlets where there was a more unique armor reward or permanent portrait or something.
You’ve made ways to show off pvp leaderboard, rift racing, and crift first clears, but not really anything for gauntlet firsts. It’s just a triple farm, which while nice, is a bit underwhelming and interest in them seems surprisingly low.
Since these are ‘free’ rewards I feel they will always be limited in details keeping more quality ones behind paywalls
Yeah, I realize that, but they still made that unique G5(?) cosmetic with the demon look and the tendrils down the back. Maybe some portrait frames that didn’t expire in only 30days so they don’t conflict with the cosmetic market?
I don’t really care what it is, just seems like something that could be beefed up a bit from a boring palette swap of a low end cosmetic.
If I remember correctly, all cosmetics you could unlock via Gauntlet, were just color swaps from former Battle Pass cosmetics.
So their quality was directly derived from the initial BP cosmetics. You could argue though, that the much older BP cosmetics (year 1-2) were of much better quality than what is offered now and thus, it impacts the Gauntlet cosmetics more nowadays.

I don’t think the demon armor with the back tendrils was a BP cosmetic, but could be wrong…Or maybe if it was a swap of a cosmetic that predated my class swap and I’ve forgotten what all the old cosmetics looked like.
But whatever, given there is only 1 3 gauntlet set every 27 weeks, would be nice if the cosmetic reward had a bit more effort applied.
