Bout of Realms should be for non whales, 6k and lower to gave them an chance to get better. Not for whales sit at the start point of the other and spawn trap them. If an team does do that, that team should be kicked from the bouts and ban from them.

BoR is for whales. It was never meant for dolphins and F2P players.
Even so, at least the participation rewards are decent enough for dolphins and F2Pplayers.

false they changed that after they lost half of the ppl to other games this year. SO is not an blizzard employee stop commenting on my post its for blizzard to respond not for put your 2 cents that means to me. Blizzards wants to gain players they will fix the problems and ban whales from the bouts and they gain more money because lower reso player will start buying more packs to compete in bout whales dont need bouts to compete they have bgs and sw!!! Thats why they have BlizzCon for matches like that.

The change was not to make Bout of Realms easier for F2P / low spenders, it was to introduce Bout of Equals, which has normalised power levels, making it possible for non-whales to compete in it as it strips away competitors’ pay-to-win advantages.

While this reso event will always be won by the biggest whales i agree that it would be better if everyone had a chance to achieve more. They changed the team assignemt already but at some point you meet the whale team and then its game over.
Its still worth for everyone to paricipate because the rewards are really good, got today 2 set container with a guarantee 3 stat of choice which gave me finaly a long needed upgrade but i am realistic enough to see that we maybe never even reach the top 64 there, we are place 5 on our server atm. The free to play variant is sure the better choice for lor/mid reso players but rewards are less there like always if it comes to whale/normal player appreaciation.

I will just file an false advertising, since they put in that if u lose 3 matches u dont move on and its not any of the rules. I screen shot them and will be filing because is bs when you screw over the little person to make the brought account and hackers better!!!
You might need to read things again because nowhere does it state that loosing 3 matches removes you from the event. Other than the best of 5 knockout stage which has been there since the beginning

I think the poster are referring to this new rule: 
“During the first phase of the Preliminary Stage, teams will continue to earn points through Swiss-system matchmaking. However, teams that accumulate three losses during the first two days will be eliminated from the tournament immediately rather than continuing to play out the remainder of the preliminary stage.”
New Competition Format for phase 1:
Swiss-System Pairing with Tiebreak, players with three defeats at settlement are eliminated directly

they post it on the website that no one looks at due to they never update it, but never update the in game rules.
So, the rules are publicly available but you didn’t read them.
That’s significantly different to the rules not being available.
I won’t speak for anyone else, well, because I cannot… That stated, I always read to see how it affects me as a player with where my station is in relation to the game. If it is everyone with zero changes to gems, resonance, CR, I tend to bypass it because it is a P2W game and the people who paid to win, will win. I enter in the wide ranging events where everyone has the identical chance of success…but that’s just my choice.
I have come top of the board once in Trial of the Hordes. I lost a few to get there and honestly, I’ll probably never do it again because I cannot remember how many matches I played to do it, but it was a mission just to see if I could….more than 70 and less than 100. So i won’t be doing that again. I didn’t stay there because someone wanted it more, but I did get there.
I’m okay the way it is right now. There are plenty of events for all community, like bro said. This event put everyone to look at the whales and try to reach out and, one day, become a whale too.

To win bout of realms you need to be a whale or the best fp2 ever. Blizzard gave us the equals tournament to play on an even playing field (mostly) and you can even use the winning teams builds with familiars. That right there is awesome. I think everyone should at least be aware that RNG runs brackets so you never know. I finished top 32 and another team from my server advanced to rnd of 16. We would 1300-0 them every time. This goes to show that if you get a strong team together and play hard you never know how it will work out. The rewards for top 32 is good number of crests. Each match awards gear, set items, xp, and gold just for playing. Win and you get a couple more of the same awards. I love it.
