On 2026-08-26T05:00:00Z we plan to release a series of balance adjustments before Bout of Realms begins. To provide additional time selecting your teammates and appropriate team compositions, we are announcing these changes early.

Mangle (Werebear) now unleashes a sequence of four attacks as you move in a direction, knocking back enemies. You are immune to knockback and loss of control during these attacks.
Dev Note: Cooldown reduced and damage now only scales based on maximum Life, but the scaling % has been increased.
Budding Union (Chest)
Circle of Life now conjures a swirling area of vitality that continuously heals allies and damages enemies within. Both healing and damage increase with the number of allies within the area.
Dev Note: Healing has been reduced when only one target is within the area.

Tempest
Dream and Drown (Helm)
OLD: Cascade now empowers you and your Zephyrs’ attacks to release waves at enemies you hit, dealing damage to them and nearby enemies.
NEW: Cascade now empowers you and your Zephyrs’ attacks to release waves at enemies you hit, dealing damage to them and nearby enemies while also granting you an absorb shield when you hit an enemy with the wave.
Dev Note: A maximum range has been added to the trigger, preventing it from releasing waves around enemies too far away.
Cyclone’s Call (Off-Hand)
OLD: Crosswinds is now Channeled and can be cast while moving, causing you and your Zephyrs to spin, launching wind blades that damage nearby enemies.
NEW: Crosswinds is now Channeled and can be cast while moving, causing you and your Zephyrs to spin, launching wind blades at nearby enemies that deal damage. Additionally, you are immune to knockbacks while channeling, and if an enemy is struck by multiple wind blades in quick succession, they will be hit by an additional strike.
Dev Note: Wind blade damage increased. Energy cost while channeling is reduced, and energy regeneration was increased, allowing you to channel longer and refill energy faster.
Warlock
Measured Halves (Pants)
Spiteful Sacrifice is now Channeled and can be cast while moving, causing you to conjure swords of dark energy that you hurl forward, damaging enemies in their path.
Dev Note: Attack interval increased, but damage has also been increased, resulting in less frequent volleys of attacks that hit harder. Movement Speed reduced while channeling. Range reduced. Sacrificial Power effect no longer locks onto players and now fires the extra projectiles at the targets current location allowing them to be avoided with quick movement.

Dev Note: The Soulgorger can no longer be active while this skill is active. Cooldown reduced allowing you to more frequently gain benefits from the new shield. Knockback removed from the 3rd attack. Damage dealt to enemies at max range was removed and baseline damage increased.
Brutal Lessons (Shoulders)
Lash of Pain now empowers you, causing your Primary Attacks to swing molten chains that damage nearby enemies, knocks them back and Burns them. Hitting the same enemy grants you Life Drain and control immunity.
Dev Note: Cooldown reduced so it still lines up with Supply and Demand’s cooldown.
Wizard
Lissana’s Sorrow (Chest)
Frostfield now grants you Creeping Chill, causing your attacks to Chill enemies. Critical Hits Freeze enemies within the area.
Dev Note: Chill value increased.
Searing Judgement (Shoulders)
Disintegrate now channels Fire, applying a Burn that stacks up to 5 time. At 5 stacks the Burn is consumed dealing additional damage. While channeling, you are immune to knockback effects.
Dev Note: Beam distance is also being reduced. The max stacks is being increased to have the additional damage trigger less frequently, but the damage is also being increased to help offset this change.
So…. Barbarian was forgotten or you guys just want to surprise us?

Have you forgotten about the demon hunter? Stop randomly removing essences. It only creates more confusion and makes most classes useless.

When are you strifing wiz beams terror affix?
The 2 beam skills are the only one not strifed, giving kind of an unfair advantage compared to other class terror affixes. All terror bonus deal 1/3 of their damage or 1/3 of their bonus whereas beams deal 100% damage in 4 additional directions.
At least, the range of the 4 additional beams should be reduced to 33% if not their damage.

Can you clarify… are these changes just for Bout of Realms, or are they going to be implemented as a permanent change for all modes, i.e. PvE, BGs, etc?

No. They were not made for Bout. They were made and will impact Bout. Because Bout is our most competitive game mode and teams do tons of consideration and take time crafting teams, plays, and gear this is to give them a chance to develop a strategy with more time.
You would prefer that they “forgot” Barb because every time they touch something, it ruins them.
Nerfing/Killing the only Warlock viable build…
And DH still not touched, How about nerf the amount of Invulnerability?

In my opinion, the Necromancer will never be the same again. The proof is that all the CC mechanics that used to define the class have either been removed, nerfed, tied to CC Pity Bars, or countered by the various CC immunities available to other classes.
The reason for this is precisely the introduction of new mechanics for applying effects such as Fear. In the past, you had essences that directly applied the effect. Now, these effects are conditional on building up stacks before the effect can actually trigger, making them practically useless in the current environment. We have immunities, Pity Bars, and ways to remove the effects altogether.
Then we were pushed toward DoT builds, which were one of the few things keeping the class competitive. But with the reduction to the base damage, which I think was extremely aggressive, combined with the current meta of high-resistance tank classes capable of dealing massive damage, they can simply overpower almost any other build. (I’ve never understood the concept of a tank also having massive damage — in my opinion, those should be separate roles.)
Unfortunately, the current state of the class that has been one of the most played over the years has been gradually deteriorating, and I’m afraid the Necromancer is eventually going to be forgotten, because Warlock is right there to take its place.

I hope they take a look at the new Stealth PvP DH build. The stealth uptime is basically infinite!
It’s an incredibly unfair build to play against for every class!

You need to stop with the changes so frequently. You have literally destroyed a warlock build iv been working on getting the items since warlock came out. This is outrageous…try to create and build unique characters but then you take away the abilities to do so. Alot of us are tired of being forced to have one build for pvp (meta) you make all other skills and essences less powerful or lacking slots to make a build complete thats not the meta. Lash/tyrants grasp build in bg is already lacking hard and u take away the pet the one thing that actually saves you some of the time when running away to heal.

I am not against nerf or balancing the classes but what was the idea behind it? Dodge? Can you tell me who won’t dodge this “second” effect? The channeling wizard or afk players? In a considered pvp match all players are moving, it means this secondary effect will being a total useless thing in this game. Hit the current place of the player. The decent demonhunters and/or monks are laughing now. The next step is the random channeling direction?

And the necromancer remains tossed into the abyss of ultra nerfed classes…

Warlock say Hi and Bye, Gg I think i’ve never seen a new class nerfed so much that it become useless meanwhile Barbarians needs to be killed 3 or 4 times and even with 1 hp they managed to kill you.

I trying to understand, what u guys know about balance ? Warlock came to the game weak, and u guys nerfed it. Only 1 skill is a dash, u guys remove the untargetable while using, remove 1 use and reduced the range.
Now u nerfing the tyrant hands, the strong point of the warlock is the passive, and now removed that too.
What’s the idea ? Introduce a class to bring players and kill it in the next 2 months ?
Totally trash balance, but let’s keep the barbarian with savior, barrier, immunity and life steal… better, let’s keep the monk, tempest and DH with 20 dashes ,and remove the ONLY ONE the warlock has.
I really hope this is a bad joke.

What they're doing to the game is ridiculous, man; they're destroying classes, breaking builds, and not listening to us—they just do whatever they want.
