  1. Diablo 2 LoD - based on its legacy and legendary status and impact in my life
  2. PoE - Arguably the best of all time so far in terms of the most complete, diversity and systems
  3. Titan Quest
  4. Grim Dawn
  5. Last Epoch (unreleased but have played a few hundred hours and i does so many things so well)

To me, Diablo 3 was the greatest disappointment in gaming history, despite being a financial success generally speaking. And im also very much unimpressed by the torchlight series.

Diablo 1 is a memorable mention, but since i didnt get to experience its early days and only had a bunch of fun years after itā€™s release, i wont include in my top list.

Although I have enjoyed time on All 3 Torchlights, PoE, Titan Quest and many other ARPGS. I am very partial to Diablo.

Because more crap games like Diablo 3 will be made (see d4) instead of branching off the superior D2/PoE model. D3 is the Michael Bay movie of the arpg genre. Itā€™s fun for an hour or two, and then you realize itā€™s shallow and not good.

Well, I for one hope they make tons of crap games like D3 then becuase I loved D3 :slight_smile:
Like I said, entertainment is subjective. What you find to be best might be someoneā€™s worst and you would both be right.

Itā€™s not a crap game if people liked it. Lots of people myself included loved D3 and played thousands of hours. Just cause you donā€™t like it doesnā€™t mean itā€™s crap :tipping_hand_woman:

The dumbing down and casualfication of games has been a blight on gaming for a few decades now. Itā€™s not good. We donā€™t need even more casual garbage on the market. People need to be able to use their brains a bit and problem solve. There are already lots of casual games out there for people to play, the Diablo series doesnā€™t need to keep moving that direction. Make a new ip if you want to do that.
