You paid xx for this, but you ARE getting ROI

And that type of apathy is just as bad as the ones who say the game is fine in its current state.

Just because " it is, what it is " doenst mean it shouldnt be pointed out as much as possible how much this game is failing.

We live in the real world with real consequences. What job can you fail THIS hard over and over and still get the benefit of the doubt from your customers?

It’s been pointed out constantly, to the point where they’ve stopped listening. That is the issue here. I give out feedback toward the game all the time. However I can’t change the past, therefor I’m not going to get hung up on it.

I like the changes so far in S9. I think the game has a long way to go mind you, but I also remember what little we had in the beginning too. It’s not all rainbows and sunshine. However I do play each season and give my feedback accordingly.

Weatherman comes to mind.

The problem is that D4 I bought a promise of a giant pizza, the best of all and when it arrived it was an empty box with a pepperoni inside and the promise that in 6 months I would receive the dough for a slice, in 1 year if I paid again I would receive a DLC with cheese and sauce… but in the end the cheese is disgusting and the sauce… well it will come next year (maybe) in another paid expansion…

Yes and THIS needs to be complained about as well. Because if you cant handle criticism then you need to find a job where your creative and intellectual ideas arent on display for millions to see . I dont care if they dont want to hear it, I dont care if their feelings get hurt, I would like the proper diablo game that we were promised and not some half arsed attempt at another Diablo mobile game .

You have hundreds to thousands of voices begging the game to change to exactly how they want it. You listen to one side and make changes another side gets pissed off. That’s where we are today. Constant flip flopping between seasons.

There hasn’t been a season to date where people didn’t raise their ‘concerns’ about any number of issues. Some new and definitely some old. Short of us giving actual constructive feedback there’s not a lot we can do.

In all honesty would you sit there listening to some one on repeat saying how much you failed? Or would you rather listen to a person who actually says why they think you failed, and what exactly they don’t like about what you’ve done, instead of bland vague statements?

Yes they failed to meet the mark since the beginning, and it takes considerable time to make a video game. As that is essentially what they’re doing, since they didn’t have the time to make a better one before launch.

This doesn’t excuse the bad product they’ve made mind you. As has been pointed out by myself and many others. Again though all we can do is give our reasons why we don’t like certain things, hope enough people have the same sentiment, and the game changes from there.

The issue is as a collective community it’s very hard to come together to agree on how the game should change. Combined with the inexperience of the devs making a game like this, listening to a thousand voices on which direction to go, then actually following those voices, is why we are here today.

I Understand completely why we are here today, you stated many of the reasons correctly. It doesnt change the fact that NONE of that is ok , and if the collective doesnt all speak up and loudly , then yes of course we are going to continue to get this directionless mess.

I am speaking about a much bigger issue than just the state of diablo 4 mind you. I dont know if youve noticed, but multi-billion dollar corps are not looking out for the consumer these days. Crappier products with higher price tags (sound familiar?) are continuously pooped out and most people adopt the same “ehh nothing will change why bother” attitude and allow these greedy pigs to rinse us . Is it an uphill battle? yes for sure. Winnable? Maybe not . But i know this, id rather die fighting than roll over and play dead. it isnt a Diablo 4 dev thing- its bigger than that. Ive seen recently mind you, with ENOUGH up roar, change can be elicited.

Keeping your head in the sand helps no one.

Yes agreed, but not engaging with the product helps more so than just writing out feedback and trying to change the ways of these corporations. Look at all the failures recently, studios shutting down, teams being fired, this is the right way. I’ve always said people need to speak with their actions, not their words. A big part of that is not engaging with the product.

Now in terms of D4, we’ve already paid for the product, as such we voice our opinions about it. My viewpoint is, I’ve paid for it, I’ll leave my feedback, I can’t change how Blizzard runs mind you, but hopefully our voices will be heard and it’ll change for the better. That’s why I hope most people are here on the forum, although I know some just love to troll and bash on the other side (regardless of which side they’re on).

Again I think S9 is another step in the right direction with everything that has changed. The damage nerfs don’t bug me, but what I do especially like is more depth to the NMD system that they are giving, along with better rewards all around. I just wish they would take it a step further, as running the same dungeons over and over can get tedious. Even having 3-4 tile sets per dungeon to change it up when you enter would help in my opinion.

The world itself is just so… static, bland, and unappealing after you’ve seen it for the umpteenth time. There’s plenty of things I could touch up on, and have in other threads. I can’t say much for the balance this time around, as we’re not there yet to see how well each class is doing across the board. All I can say is I want less monotony and more interesting gimmicks, which obviously is entirely subjective, but if they keep changing things like they have with NMD, I think it’ll be a good start.

Things shouldn’t be this way, and I’m speaking with my wallet when it comes to other games. I can’t change that for D4 at the moment, but I also enjoy the game enough to come back every season, knowing full well it may never be what I truly want out of this game. For that matter D2 and D3 never hit that mark either, or any other game within this niche genre.

There is a proven way to change the things you don’t like “VOTE WITH YOUR MONEY”. It works time and time again. It sounds like there is alot of the same complaints coming from players. So change them. Tell Blizzard that you won’t play Seasons until they change they way they do things, as in make the game fun again. Make a list of the most popular changes that people are talking about. Yell as one voice not the infighting that goes on in the Fourms, but as one true voice.

You can’t make changes unless you speak as one group. Then they will listen as Microsoft will hear you also.

And therein lies the problem. Convincing the majority to do what you’re suggesting, when the majority of the player base don’t visit the forums, social media, reddit, youtube, etc. To reach people on the mass scale you need would take far more than just posting a few things in a forum that barely 100 people visit, with mostly the same 20-30 people making posts (including myself).

I love ham & pineapple on pizza. I’d say that this was a chocolate sauce pizza with fresh tomatoes, pepperoni, broccoli, & black olives.

You are never being invited for pizza. I will fight you for every last slice of that pineapple pizza. MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE!!!

Well, you don’t know until you try, or you can just sit back and except the garbage they are putting out in each season. The choice is your’s to try or not to try. If you don’t try, it will be the samething each and every season!

You’re not wrong, and I try by voicing my opinion, as well as filling out the surveys they send me. However I won’t just stop playing the game myself, as I do enjoy it enough to keep coming back every season. I don’t like everything about the game obviously, and I know it’ll take several years before it turns into their ideal version of the game (not my ideal version).

All of the Diablo games have been the same for me though. I just hope they continue updating the system for the better, or at least what’s better for me. I think S9 is a step in the right direction, we just need them to take more steps.

Well, to me you are one of the few voices of reason that post about changes. Hoping will do nothing to make the game better. So I hope you will change your mind. Diable 4 is worth trying to change.

When I grow bored of the game entirely and it’s no longer fun in any sense, I’ll stop playing, that much I can promise you.

You are both prime evils!

What’s really awesome is ham, pineapple, & sweet onions … then, when the pizza arrives you slice up ice-cold tomatoes to put on it. DELISH!!!
