You made gear leveling feel like glyph leveling somehow

Anyone else make the distinction that they took glyph leveling and applied it to gear?

Run a gradually more challenging dungeon for points(xp,obducite, ingolith etc) that marginally increases the power of your thing(sword, amulet, glyph). More runs = more power.

It’s the exact same mechanic unless I am missing something.

So the grind for more power is the same regardless if it’s gear or glyphs? Not really seeing a problem here, it’s always been this way. Whether you were trying to get BiS 4 affix gear previously, or if you’re trying to get GA + Masterworking bonuses now. Only difference is we have better odds now.

I like the new way myself. I’ll just let the Masterworking go where it lands though, I’m not wasting time min-maxing on that stuff. I got other things to do. More power to those who want to though.

As for GA’s, I’m not too worried about those either, sure they’d be a nice boost, but I know realistically I’m not hitting 100+ Tier Pits.

You could say so, since the devs themselves said that gearing up is now a journey.

That said, the old way of upgrading your gear feels like a formality. You have more than enough resources for fully upgrading gear after playing for some time.

My problem with both cases is that they give you exactly one activity (NM dungeons for glyphs, The Pit for Masterworking) which you have to do over and over.

I’d like to be able to do my grind over a variety of activities, whether they be Helltides, NM dungeons, regular dungeons, whisper quests, side quests, regular dungeons, overworld events, or whatever else.

Doing the same thing over and over isn’t fun for me. Give me variety in my grind, and it will make it feel like less of a grind.
