You all want change? Stop buying cosmetics

Videogames in the magnitude of D4 usualy cost around 100-200 million $ to Development and probably the same amount on Top for marketing.

So let’s be generous in blizz favor and say they had 500 million$ budget on D4.

They already made over 1 Billion reportedly shorly after launch.

How long can you run the servers for D4 with 500 million$

I think people in the year 3000 could stil play D4 easaly and that money wouldn’t been depleted then.

shrugs… at this point I personally don’t care either more.

Back to the game!

Nintendo hasn’t been relevant in the console market since the original Wii. The Wii U was a total disaster & forced them from the console market. The Switch & Switch 2 are handhelds which can be plugged into a TV set. They are not true consoles like the Xbox Series X or PS5 period. Xbox & Playstation are getting ready to launch their own handhelds in the very near future which will directly compete with Nintendo. Given Nintendo’s recent stance that consumers no longer own the hardware they legally purchase from their local retailer once the Switch 2 launches, I would say Nintendo’s days in the handheld market are numbered. Nintendo will likely be sued in places like Asia & the EU under strict laws that protect consumer rights in those markets which will likely render their updated ToS (Terms of Service) invalid. Nintendo is still living in the Stone Age of gaming & it’s well past time they get with the times.

Blizzard execs are petty and spiteful. They’ll just cancel development and move on.

Does it? Doesn’t Ubisoft have there own bought currency and as I remember stuff in the mtx store that was better than in game stuff, still talking about the most recent assassins creed here.

quality of a game does not rely on MTX, if you believe it does, that is cause for concern

There are bad games with MTX; there are good games with it, too. There are even good games with “gacha” mechanics, where you guy a loot box without any idea what’s in it. Star Wars: The Old Republic has that in its Cartel Market, but the game itself is still mostly excellent.

IMO, the issue is not the MTX, but the prices.

Who said it did, I’m making a point it’s not needed besides for greed

Agreed. They have no financial incentive to change their current model to compete with their competitors. Whales are this game’s worst enemy.

I think there are a lot of people who have been brainwashed into adopting Marxist values. Blizzard is a business and Diablo 4 is one of it’s products. They have a right to make money to pay the developers and pay other expenses (servers, etc.). Nobody is forced to buy cosmetics. If you don’t want to or don’t have enough money than you are free to not buy anything.

Yikes. My purchase of the game and its expansions is more than enough. If they want more money from me, then they will need to make more expansions. Im not buying from the store. But if others do thats their right and prerogitive.

I was shopping today and did not buy any cremes or lipstixx. Only food.
:lipstick: <— :no_entry_sign:

:space_invader: You can do it too :space_invader:

You’re funding executives and shareholders. If they wanted to use enough of that money to reinvest in making the product better, we would have already seen the results. They clearly do not want to.

It’s none of your business what he buys or doesn’t buy. It’s none of your business if he wants to support Blizzard. People like you make me want to buy some cosmetics I may never use “just because”…

We? or You?
I don’t need to fund anything, i’ve paid for the game…

And if they wanted funding, they could make another Xpac or make the game P2W (ugghhh!!!)

That is the truth! We would have seen real change in this game if they really cared.

You all want change?

I hate to say it, but there isn’t going to be any changes to this game whether you buy cosmetics or not, or whether you even play or not. Nothing you do is going to have an effect on the direction of this game even if literally nobody plays it anymore.

This game is going to be developed in whatever direction the lead devs want to go in until Diablo 5 drops under a new, more cohesive crew. Diablo 4 is and will always be a total developmental disaster. It was released unfinished, it is still unfinished two years on, and it will continue to be unfinished all the way up until Diablo 5 releases.

The devs aren’t adding polish to a finished game. This game straight up doesn’t work properly and is akin to a car being released and on constant weekly recall with something being fixed and something else breaking. Plug one hole and another hole opens up, it’s ridiculous.

So the way large corporations work: If one person makes something great…there will be 9 others waiting to put their name on the product for doing the bare minimum and convincing that one employee who made something, that he needs them.

You as the customer get to pay to keep those 9 other people employed.

Corporations are great aren’t they? :hamster:

Thanks for the info. I will continue buying cosmetics if there is some cool looking cosmetics for sale. I got weapon pack and new pet this season and they are awesome.
