The issue is seems to be plenty of people more then willing for blizz to take a dump in their mouth…

Why do we have to suffer a bad game

You assume many bought the cosmetics, the reality is there aren’t. The season can be played for free, there is no convincing reason to purchase cosmetics.

If no one buy cosmetics and battlepass, Blizzard can just put the game into maintenance mode and reassign the dev to other projects. Alternatively, like many other game studio, they just fire the devs and downsize the studio.

Nobody buys cosmetics on this game I can assure you that it doesn’t have the player base enough for that to be the major issue. The issue is that Blizzard is wasting time trying to sell cosmetics in a genre and game where it just simply will not work.

In America, if I kill you in a PVP game and then feel the need to tactically crouch by where your head landed…that is called a teabag. :hamster:

The popular free to play games offer mods that allow the same thing? I’m calling this a straw man argument….

Never purchased any cosmetics. I don’t care about the crummy Twitch drops and this is the first season I didn’t purchase Battlepass.

OP specifically states if you want things to change stop buying cosmetics. You have to read more than the first sentence of the post.

OP points out there is nothing new and major issues with the game are being ignored so why should anyone make purchases and support it. Many do not disagree.

OP also misses a point and fact. The consumer pool is global. There will almost always be enough that make purchases to support whatever devs are doing. The opinion is narrowly focused as different cultures do not view this in the same way.

OP sounds like another satisfied customer.

We don’t know for sure that the changes to NMDs will be minor. I suspect they easily could be since they’ve done a ā€œminorā€ job at everything else, but we’ll see. We should know inside a month since PTR should be in a few weeks. As for Hordes, I’d like to see them get a serious re-work, but I’m actually expecting that one to be piddly.

The cosmetic pricing is flabbergasting but I honestly think that if they added a set to the game as a rare drop every time they threw a new one in the shop, or if they allowed people actually grind platinum at a significant rate for the people who like to play like mad to unlock stuff themselves or avoid an exorbitant fee, they could probably get away with it forever.

The problem is that they don’t do that and never have, despite saying before the game ever launched that they would make sure the in-game cosmetics were as cool as the shop cosmetics at minimum. We now have or have had roughly 50 armor sets for each class in the shop, and only about ~30? in the game itself. That doesn’t even touch on weapons, trophies, town portals, emotes, etc.

Shop items work best (for a gaming community) when they’re generally earnable in the actual game, but purchasable for the weekend warriors and ā€œlazyā€ players that just want to see lots of shiny crap in their transmog menu despite a minimal commitment to a game.

Blizz is just driving a larger and larger wedge between themselves and their customers as they neglect the vast majority to make a buck off the whales. They think the gravy train will never end, but it seems likely that they’ll find a way to kill D4 eventually at this rate. :man_shrugging:

I honestly feel there is a reason why we have not seen new content. I’m sure you guys will correct me if I’m wrong but without a developer to focus on the vision of the game there is no direction. To me, it would make sense that they just continue patching etc. on 4 and set their sites on D5. I don’t know a LOT about programming but I know this much; it’s not easy to change code or add on to code once it’s written…not that it can’t be done but it’s time consuming and leaves a lot of places for mistakes. I for 1 would be all for them concentrating on D5 and hopefully they will knock it out of the park. And with regard to the cosmetics? If I gotta do boring grinding all day every day…I might as well look good.

Ubisoft deserves all the hate & vitriol thrown at them. It was Ubisoft that coined the phrase, ā€œYou will own nothing & be happyā€ after all…

Interessting. Why?

Being realistic there’s unlikely to be enough of the player base engaged on any of the discussion platforms to land a serious impact on the outcome even if you got them all aligned somehow.

Players will make their own choices.

It’s Blizz job to work their way through it and build a product people want, or not.

Imo suffocating players complying with the Eula with stuff all boss keys and leaving duping and rmt to run rampant leaves a foul taste in players mouths that won’t be forgotten.

I’m talking (more or less) those who say they ā€œUnistalledā€ the game or said themselves they are ā€œdoneā€ with blizzard etc etc. You and I both seen those threads every now and then. If people want to continue to be disappointed after this many seasons at this point in time I’d consider it’s the player and not the company. I mean after all, a person can always look at videos or read to see if what’s changed is what they would want. shrugs Totally up to them, hope they NEVER get their Hopes up.
But Like I said, I like the direction the game is going. (seems you have people who like and people who don’t like) this direction, IMO.

points up

Better give up on that.

He sounds Satisfied?
Mmmm, Well I hope he is. I hope he enjoys the game (or doesn’t).

I can’t speak for anybody, but I LIKE TO THINK that people who Don’t like the game (D 4) and it’s direction isn’t gonna buy Cosmetics anyway. Why would they?

That’s like Purposely buying/eating at a fast food place they Hate, when they have other options.

Yes, whats your Points? I can’t stop people from posting, just like I can’t tell people what to do.

Nope, let them enjoy what they buy. Doesn’t hurt anybody or anything.

I Blame FPS games (terrible, terrible behavior…)

OH, am I done?
darn, I think I missed something.

Don’t tell me how to live buddy.

If they remove class-restriction on cosmetics, they will make lots of money.

I never bought any skin or season pass.

Once PoE2 and LE smoothen their wrinkles out, D4 is donezo…
