Yay fun detected, quick lets fix it!

1.1.2 Patch notes:

  • Fixed an issue where Nightmare Dungeons could be repeated by promoting other party members to leader.

I am 100% convinced you guys are trying to kill this game and drive people away on purpose. Not to mention the rest of the patch is crap as well.

You want this to be a thing? Why? It is clearly unintended…

Exploit =/= Fun

If you think exploiting is fun, you deserve to get banned.

I don’t consider this an exploit, more so since it has been allowed since DAY 1. This is the only reason they added the dungeon reset.

It was mentioned as an exploit during the campfire.

Yeah, lets pump out more “Diablo” 3 content instead! This will fix everything! :joy:

Plenty of things to :poop: on Blizzard about, but this change isn’t one of them.

Exploiting glitches isnt content.

I actually do find it more fun to run the same dungeon a few times in a row plus it’s a little quicker to get back into things. Since I’ve been playing solo I obviously haven’t used the exploit but I wish I could more easily get specific dungeons. Before they let us teleport to the NMD I would try to save a few sigils of a kind.

That looks like an obvious bug, should be fixed IMO.

maybe I’m being nitpicky but that does not actually sound fun. in fact, it sounds remarkably similar to my primary complaint with the current content in diablo 4: doing the same thing a million times is not enjoyable

the game should not be designed in a way that makes players feel obligated to repeat the same content over and over again endlessly.

So the intended way to play through a NM dungeon is to obtain a sigil for said dungeon, complete the objectives, kill a boss, exit the dungeon, reset it, rinse repeat. You don’t consider it an exploit when people can just essentially not use up a sigil to reset the dungeon and start all over?

So if in D3 and you entered a Greater Rift, killed the Greater Rift Boss, but then just changed party leads and the whole greater rift reset, resetting the timer and fill bar, that’d be ok too?

In CoD if you killed the other team, but the other team changes their party leader and it resets the match back to 0/0, that’d be ok?

How about if you’re completing a helltide, you’ve collected all of the shards, go to turn it in at a chest, collect your loot, then change leaders, and now you can turn in more shards to the chest you just unlocked, that’d be ok?

Just trying to see where you draw the line.

Never used this exploit anyway, you get plenty of sigils.

This was an absurd exploit, really good that is finally gets fixed.
It went directly against the intended gameplay.

:100:

Imo add some kind of bonus XP/MF/glyph XP etc. for doing “something different than you did before”.
As in; you do dungeon X with modifier A and B.
If you do a helltide next, or a dungeon Y with modifier C and D next, you get bonus rewards.
If you do a NM dungeon Z with modifier E and F, or a legion event next, you again get a bonus.

Make the game remember something like the last 10 activities you did, and if the new thing you are doing does not overlap, reward it. For ease of use, the sigils should show if you will gain the bonus. Helltides, legion events and world bosses could likewise show it on their map icons.

It’s clearly an exploit that group players took advantage of in the 100 season 1 race. It’s a good thing that it’s getting patched over.

It’s an exploit. Thats why it was fixed. Want to run the same dungeon over and over then loot/craft keys and stockpile that dungeon.

They finally fixed that bug no more sarat lair/mercy/uldur back to back now you can actually feel something when you craft/drop a good dungeon?

I swear some people are out of this world.
