There is NO POINT to delete game / reinstall / whatever. You are just wasting you time.
We have to wait for a patch to fix this issue.
THERE IS NO OTHER SOLUTION.
(Turning off Cross-Platform Play will only give you a little bit longer gap between crashes to home screen).

Same shiat on PS5. Crashes my whole console. I have to unplug it before I even can restart my device. That’s ridiculous!
Why is blizzard ignoring their customers?!

I did the recommended fixes many times trying to alleviate the crashing I was experiencing. Nothing they recommended worked.
Awaiting news from next Dev chat. I hope they have some news.

Dang it. Had a good week of play with occasional crash here or there after the update. Now back to immediate crashing when characters load in. No reaction time to try and tele out of town or attempt any other action.
Bumping. Got a patch on Thursday or Friday and was hoping this was addressed. Played a few hours that night and no crashes. Today I’ve crashed multiple times.
This really should be at the top of the sprint board. Game stability (for all platforms) show be priority number 1.

Tried to see if anything had improved over the past few weeks. Reinstalled the game and found it’s still super unstable crashing constantly. Ugg.

I was doing great before season one back to same old bs. Got a super helpful response when Tweeting Blizzard customer service https://twitter.com/BlizzardCS/status/1685443807955845120?t=nT00gpVEq5k7gNd6OnEJpA&s=19
This happens to me as well. I think they tried to make it somewhat better the latmst couole days. Now i just dashboard instead of being kicked out of game. But before that i would be kicked out to the main screen. Characters woukd be locked until i dashboarded and closed the game manually. This happens at least once every two hours. Ive been very careful about when i run my important dungeons and tiers. Butnive gotten completely screwed over on my capstone dungeon before.
This.
This is why system stability NEEDS to be top priority. I can deal with some minor in game bugs or some balancing issues, but game crashing every couple hours is a no go.
I bought more store credit and a mog after patch and no crash the other night, but after the crashes today I’m mad I did. I’ve bought multiple credits and mogs (before S1 when I had no game crashes) now, so I support the game that way, but it’s hard to want to continue to support when new items get put out on store before they fix stability issues.
Please prioritize game stability!

I have been playing since launch on Xbox Series X, and it probably crashed maybe 3 times during my first 100 hours of play. During the past 5 days it has crashed 6 times over the course of maybe 10 hours of play. Three times when I was in the Capstone III-IV dungeon. The latest one that just happened I did not venture out of town and was doing inventory stuff and it crashed. Yesterday, it didn’t crash but kicked me back to the menu and wouldn’t let me log in, with the message along the lines of “your last session did not exit properly”. If I am using my hardcore character will a crash kill him?
I think I’ve found a new potential (temporary) way to avoid crashing the console. Just go to:
Settings → Devices → Accessories and update your controller.
I know it sounds stupid, but after using this method, I’ve been playing for a good few hours without crashing the console.
We generally don’t get a lot of time to play (wife co-ops with me), always things to do when you have little kids, anyway yesterday we had time to play. Started grinding renown in season, you know cause we gotta do it again, game crashed again for the millionth time… switched console off and watched TV. Can’t take it anymore…

As of now,
I have not had any crashes for two straight days. That is a monumental achievement for me and this game. Last ditch effort I removed the HDMI-CEC connection on the TV off the Xbox and plugged the XBOX X into standard HDMI. The benefit the CEC provides is not worth the game crashing if this is truly an issue between Xbox, Diablo, and TV.
The testing continues…

I tried this last night and crashed while going through my stash box, so not thinking this is a fix.

Ah…so close. 3 days of game play and no crashes. Longest streak I had. Unfortunately the crashes have resumed today.

I was hopeful, because you got 4 hearts indicating wide spread success, but I tried this and just crashed.
Dropping back in, it’s been running a lot better lately and didn’t want to jinx it. I will get a freeze/crash once in a while now, per gaming session between 0-2 freezes in a 2 - 3 hour period. Seems to not happen at all when I join a party with friends.
Just wanted to give on update on how it is with mine on Xbox, basically a lot better for me but still freezes here and there
Wish i could say the same, still getting dropped at least once an hour if not more, seems like when it drops once it drops again within 30min or so and sometimes continues every 15-30min until I have to just quit and come back several hours later.
turned off cross play the other day, but still crashed. I crashed today 4 times today with it off. Blizzard a little busy with making bosses harder?
Same issue here. Game just freeze and kick me to dashboard or occasionally reset the console. It’s happening every 5-30 minutes. I can’t say it’s happening at any specific situation like checking inventory etc. It seems to be completely random. Before season 1 patch I didn’t have any issues. Xbox series s
