I am in the same boat. It was working pre season 4, and now, it does not work properly.
Some symptoms:
- Left stick does nothing
- Right stick moves a mouse cursor around
- A button acts like enter/open chat, and spacebar
- Mapping in the game is – for every value
Troubleshooting done with no positive effect:
- Reset the game to default controls
- Uninstalled the controllers driver
- Turned off Steam (did and didn’t launch D4 from steam)
- Looked through a couple of reddit threads which led to the Steam path to try to resolve.
The build I like to play is very clunky to play properly in mouse and keyboard. I play less because I cannot use my controller for play and support is lacking.
