gamble all your sparks till you get the mythic you want
Mind numbingly boring - but more rewarding and efficient then boss grinding - recon a new mythic every 30mins but it most likley be a lot of melted hearts!
Good going blizz - how can you make things worse with each patch this season?
Just buff drop rates already and you make a lot of people a lot happier!
I think you miss the point - people are also going to go the most efficient route - especially when there isnât actually a route that feels fun and rewarding - by all means give me a reasonable grind in which i can hope to finally finish my build that doesnât involve spending real money to buy the items I need.
Letâs be clear, anyone defending the current loot situation is actively supporting real money trading for items in D4
I absolutely support RMT, because there is probably no way to fix it unless you completely disable any form of trading. I donât engage with trading at all, but people like the feature.
If people are willing to waste money on that, good for them. Same for MTX. Who am I to judge people for what they do with their cash?
I will continue enjoying the game with the perfectly fine drop rates that it has at the moment, and I am certainly not going to make boring alts âfor efficiencyâ. Glad people have the option if they want to punish themselves though.
They are probably saying RMT is related to mystic because RMT can expedite the process of obtaining mystic.
Currently, the best way to obtain mystic other than reputation spark is farming Belial. If you can RMT and buy a ton of Belial mats from dupers, then it becomes much easier to find mystics. You just have to spend the time to farm Belial.
Belial farming also happens to give you a lot of ash. So now you can farm Ash and convert it to scroll and have an alt complete the reputation board for free spark.
So while RMT will not directly get you mystic items, it will make it easier by many factors.
true, fair explanation. Rmt will always have a form of effect on online games.
I just extremely disagree when people try to say that d4 has low drop rates lol. Like really, some people bring that up EVERY season. Heck we even had people in s7 complaining about drop rates.
Rmt is an excuse to those people to bring that topic up, while in reality, they just want everything handed to them.
lol yea ^^
I mean i never had an issue with andie, but now with the boss changes id also like if her effect party would be dialed down at least a tiny bit ^^
And this is why streamers and youtubers and people that play âefficientlyâ should never talk about anything about the game
Season 1 ? - Repeat âSaratâs Lairâ from dusk till dawn
Season 2 ? - Bloodhunt till death
Season 3 IDK cause I almost/barely played
Season 6 ? - Find the most broken things and abuse them till death (ofcourse the management was complicit in this)
Season 8 ? - Congrats
Youâve found ANOTHER way to bore yourself (and other people) to death
As for the devs ? - this is why âDiablo is a game about lootâ should be thrown out of the window, deep down under the oceans, crushed under the eternal pressure of magma and suffer under endless fires, and forever forgotten
Game design around rewards (or reward-centric if you like) is - just as proven yet again, TOXIC, DISHONEST, and obviously as proven within 2 years of experience - kills creativity before it even hatches the first day
First: The number of D4 players who watch streamers is like a drop in a pond. The pond as a whole doesnât.
Second: if any rando finds a âmost efficient wayâ to farm something, and posts it online (aka reddit), a few tens of thousands of impressions later, you get the same pattern⌠some fraction of the player base replicating this - and most of them not.
Conclusion: your beef isnât with âstreamersâ, itâs with the Internet. You could completely ignore the small fraction of players youâre referring to, who make use of the Internet to share game tips (been happening for 20+ years), and your enjoyment would change.
Iâm sure Iâm misunderstanding this⌠but on the face of it youâre describing 99% of games.
It is the myth of no matter how bad or scarce or repetitive or exhausting the content itself is, if the whole gameplay loop is about achieving a reward then is all good
In your case (and @OPâs case for that matter) that means instead of increasing the drop rate for the GG items that represent 0.00001% of loot perhaps find a better way (or expand the ways) to use the rest of them ?
Thatâs the difference between focusing everything around the âshiny objectâ on the highest branch and genuinely care about the gameâs health (and therefore fun to play it) overall
