Typical d4 Karen:

  1. You have to earn the ash first.
  2. After you’ve upgraded all of your boss powers, what to do with the excessive ash? Isn’t it unfair to earn something you can’t convert into anything?
  3. Time for alt leveling, most people don’t play all day long. Being able to use ash to get the initial gear ain’t bad. You still need the obducite to upgrade, glyphs to be leveled etc.
  4. The argument about ash making the game easy. Well, if you have enough ash to get a spark multiple times, you are already swimming in mythics. Again, you have to earn the ash first, mostly done by killing tormented bosses. Ash concerns the seaonal quest only, not the season tab quest with real challenges in the end.

I guess there is always something to complain about. Developers give you a chance to redeem excessive ash and to level an alt faster. Instead of saying, thanks that I wasn’t screwed up, you go on about how bad everything is. Well, they could’ve done nothing as well.

Last but not least, you get ga items on resistance, resource cost reduction etc. which you can’t even trade (all account bound). I’d use them to get the aspects for the new class in the season and that’s it.

If you play a lot, then you get fully geared. That’s not really a challenge. It’s boss and monster fights that should give you a challenge after you spent 14 days leveling and gearing up.
