World Boss Suggestion

Currently world bosses are just a pure DPS check.
Especially when you don’t use the holy trinity this really makes it feel like its from the 90s with no innovative gameplay.

World Bosses should have extra mechanics beyond DPS.
Such as cracking a world boss armor by having it charge at pillars.
To make it focus on a player, a player may need to interact with an item to grab the bosses agro.

Once all the armor is broken off it takes an additional +10% damage for each fragment of armor broken off.

Or having World bosses that have multiple tasks for different players besides just pressing all their damage buttons. Like clearing out egg spawns before they hatch. So players with a lot of AoE will focus on destroying eggs.

This isn’t an MMO, nor is it Lost Ark.

What’s wrong with a DPS check?

Cant have it too complicated in a casual game like Diablo.

It’s a world boss not a raid boss. Wrong game

Has nothing to do with MMO.
Has to do with pure DPS meat tank being a 90s feature.

Monster Hunter World for example is a game which takes boss fights to the next level.
It also doesn’t have the holy trinity but it does have a ton of different boss fight mechanics

Such as;
Breaking body parts to disable abilities
Stunning bosses to prevent major attacks
Using boss mechanics to avoid damage from their own attacks
Many more.

Again MHW not an MMO.
Unless you experience quality games - you won’t know how next level others have gotten.
