Wondering.
Did Grig on T4 like 100 times. I had about 1200 armor, 80% res all.
Never happend and I made another SB and stood in the lightning with way worse stats - nothing happend.
But my 12/12 upgraded on all items, BiS mythics died instantly lol.
It was just poof. The only positive thing is I can finally quit this season because I am not playing my Druid that can clear Pits 85 but nope and I am not making another Spiritborn just to one shot everything again and experience a one shot with no reason again.
I have seen dozens of people to die in the same way. 've also died like this after my second or third try, when I’ve arrived at WT4 two or three days after the season started. Now I have to carry lots of people through Grig, who do trllions of damage, because they are afraid to die again, hehe. But who cares, it’s free loot for me.
The cheap trick is, to wait about one second, after he has appeared. Charging too soon causes onshot deaths, no matter how good the equip is. I don’t think, this is intended, but that’s the way it is.

I was standing in a corner lol
Thats the other way to die…maybe one inch too far away from the safe spot. One in our team died yesterday like that. Grigoire is a pure graveyard.
What??? Seriously?? Now I’m scared to do Grigoire after this? I’ve been doing it solo like more than 100 times as well. but now with BIS gear, and reading this, I’m gonna skip on bosses. There hasn’t been any videos or news about this…
Yes sadly it really happened. I’m quite glad that I have died in both ways quite soon, so I could gather my experience on this to avoid deahts. The last one in a random team died 2 days ago. And I’ve seen about 10 dieing there with really good equip (Shako Ga Life, Shroud GA life or Tyraels).
But I admit, I do Grig only with budget gear, which still almost oneshoots him. So if anything happens, it’s not such a waste^^ If anybody wants to avoid deaths, you can add me of course. I don’t want to leech and I can also bring mats. I almost have everything I need and drown in mats anyway, I even offer free Boss runs often for Rookies or people, who got in a death spiral.

I stand against the wall, in the middle, not the corner, until he spawns, then kill him.
I don’t know why people try to dodge the lightning, but if that is fun for you, who am I to judge?
Yeah Grigoires Lightning AoE damage is overtuned for sure. One badly timed dodge and you might die.
So hugging the wall in the right places is the way to go for sure.
Now Andariel on the other hand i wont touch with a 10 foot pole. She is still capable of killing the player even after her HP drop to 0 and she cant be finished before her hitboxes come out either.
There was one time in Softcore where i was looting her and then suddenly the doom ray came back again lol.

The fun fact is, that almost everyone knows the hugging to the wall trick. We always do it. But after huge rotas (x10 or sometimes x20 or Bossing Grand Slams with all bosses in one group) there is sometimes one, who loses concentration or is distracted by a whisper or something and we see his beatiful tombstone. And one step too far from the wall is an instant death then. The point is: when everything seems to be too easy and dull, Grig is the most dangerous of them all.
Andariel is a real mess, too yes. That’s the other one, nobody of us likes
