It also added an entire game mode dedicated to avoiding the trading system… meaning a large portion of the playerbase does not enjoy that feature
And any gear that matters is BoP.
Not true for early versions of the game.
PoE got some nice elements to it (passive web etc.), but the trading focus ruins an otherwise good game tbh.
I cannot agree with that. The ability to grind whatever content you want and then convert it to items you want is what makes PoE great. Without it the whole crafting system wouldn’t work. And the crafting system of PoE is one of the best and arguably the best.
Trading compliment the games. It provides choice to players. All this talking about full BoP is old news and should be used carefully to reward the player for certain achievements.
You have no idea what are you talking about. SSF is considered a challenge mode. It mostly played by experienced players that understand the game deeply. The main player base plays just seasonable content. Tho I would be happy if they add SSF to the Diablo4 too. I guess then actually everyone would be happy.
I would add to that that famous streamer and PoE player that exclusively play SSF HC in PoE and whos team reached world first lvl 100 in Diablo4 argued that this game need some form of AH too.
I mean… SSF is a game mode in which you cannot trade. It is literally a game mode added and used so that people can choose to avoid trading. How am I in any way incorrect there?
But sure, if they added SSF (which they never will), then I’d be fine with them also opening trade up more. It’d ruin the regular game mode imo, but I’d be over on SSF so it wouldn’t effect me
Again you make no sense. You can play SSF now. You just do not trade and you done.
I’m more than happy with it being the way it is. In PoE it was getting annoying too, that all these losers ended up shopping their items from people who have deployed literal bots to farm items. So you had the loser who wasn’t even playing thr game, only making money off it and then the bigger loser who spent money buying those items to jump ahead without being committed at all, only to later brag how good they played when they don’t even understand the fundamentals.
Creating your character is your job and you can’t rely on another person to find you your items. I personally find it pretty sad how many hundred-thousands of fool flock to guides so that they can play a meta character.
I literally feel like I’m the only fire sorcerer in the game because every other sorcerer is using the same ice build. Do you guys truly struggle this much to play the game without any help?
It’s nuts.
Weird, I wonder why they added SSF to PoE then? That could have just told everyone “just dont trade lmao”
I think they’ll open it up eventually.
Ideally, when the season is out, but I think even internally it’s a popular idea, so we’ll see.
Because it is official challenge. That listen to player base and make it possible for everyone to play how they want.
Explain, How would it affect you if I trade and you wouldn’t?
God… At least we moved on from RMT argument.
Correct. It’s an official challenge. It’s a way to officially confirm that people are all playing under the same ruleset. It creates it’s own meta, community, etc. That is why you create an official mode. That is why “just don’t trade lmao” is an idiotic argument

I hope. Because they are making HC WoW classic right. So it is possible. And there are streamers who would support this idea and clearly different stances in community on that.

It is not an idiotic argument. I’m not against to make it official rule set. I’m all hands for that.
What is I find really weird is when all it takes for you to play the way you want is there and you argue that I have to play like you want too. You can clearly ignore AH, ruined economy and etc by just playing the game by yourself. And I cannot play my ruined economy, AH and etc without them adding AH.
No trading ruins the game for you right? You would enjoy the game more if it had trading. And that’s fair - we disagree on that - but that’s fine. People have different opinions
Well, trading ruins the game for me. Currently, the game works perfectly fine for me, honestly I would prefer if they removed all forms of trading. But, I can deal with it just being gold/rares
If they changed that, it would make the game less enjoyable to me. That’s why I’m against it. That’s why - if they added SSF - I would no longer care about whether trading is allowed in the main mode or not. Because I would be over on SSF, and it’s no longer my problem
You’re correct, I could just choose to be SSF, but that entirely removes what I was talking about earlier. There’s no community, there won’t be leaderboards, there won’t be any enforcement on those rules. It’ll purely be a self imposed challenge. And that’s not what I’m looking for in Diablo, if I wanted a self imposed challenge I’d make another OSRS account
I still find it pretty weird that you what impose this challenge on me too so the game would be more enjoyable for you. But whatever.
All it takes for us to agree is that we should ask SSF mode too. If I see any discussion about that on the forum I would absolutely support it.
You should make a TL DR,
There is a trade chat, its just off by default. The options to turn it on are in the settings. Blizz discourages any human interaction because they dont want people raging at each other.
Well I don’t want to impose it on you. I literally said, if they add SSF then I’m fine with them opening trading to everyone. As it is, they decided to aim for a semi-SSF for everyone instead
That isn’t my decision. I do not control Blizzard. I did not tell Blizzard to do this. It is Blizzard that is imposing restrictions upon you, not me
The issue is, if I say “Yes! Add trading!” and then they add trading without adding SSF… then I’ve just cucked myself. As it is, the game is somewhat inbetween the two. It is neither SSF or full trading. I can handle it in it’s current state, even though it greatly benefits groups. It’d be silly for me to advocate for a feature that would actively make my game less enjyoable
rmt is on already on d4
Yep. This is stupid too. And no global chat at all.
What we want is AH basically.
People argue that it will:
-
Bring bots to the game and invite RMT. SPOILER: Current system do not prevent RMT and there IS RMT.
-
Make personal achievements less valuable or whatever because drop of RNG loot is so skill based I guess. But if seriously I believe that only certain items that guaranteed drop from certain challenges shouldn’t be tradable.
-
Some argue that only bad players want AH. I have no comments.
-
Some people prefer SSF so that’s why everyone should use this abomination of trade system.
People who think there is no RMT or FG trading are disconnected froim reality.
As soon as season 1 starts i can buy myself a boost and hundreds of best yellows within a week. Thus i’ll have a char pretty much ready to farm without lifting a finger. Perhaps i have so much d2jsp currency that i could do it for the next 30 seasons.
Current trade restrictions are pointless and only exist to force players to grind more time. Absolutely no fun when i can’t trade with my friends, help strangers or prepare gear foppr alts.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think a single person ITT has said “there is 0 RWT in D4” - there’s simply less of it than in D2 for example. Which is a great thing
