Why, yet again, disregard trading?

Ehh… is it possible? Sure. Will Blizzard actually do this? Big doubt. Again, just look at D2

That’s a bold assumption to make… why then, is WoW also filled with bots? That game is not only ~50-60 on average (depending upon how new/old the recent expansion is) but it’s also $15/month. The game being expensive does not prevent bots, it only raises the price of their services

If Diablo 2 were $70, instead of runes being literally less than a dollar for most of them, they’d be like $2, maybe 3.

I wouldn’t disagree with that last part about them not investing enough. But they also aren’t likely to change that. It just isn’t going to happen.

I have no idea how easy D4 bots will be to notice (probably pretty hard considering the small amount of players per layer + instanced dungeons), but spotting them doesn’t really solve anything, unless Blizz are the ones spotting them.

I remember multiple times in TBC I would notice bots and actively report them. The next day… still there. A week later… still there. 2 weeks later… still there. It didn’t take long for me to stop bothering. And they weren’t even well hidden bots, they were the kind that would run in extremely pre-determined paths, doing the exact same actions, for 24 hours a day with no rest. Literal “suicide bots” as they’re called, and it still took weeks before they got banned… if they ever did
