Good game design give player choice and tools to overcome the challenge. Like souls game Elden Ring which POE2 tried to copy some of its features. It gives player choice of easy mode like use summon and the OP fingerstone shield, allow a casuals complete the game without git gud. The normal mode without summon is very hard and need a lot of practice. Even Asmongold choose the easy mode with fingerstone shield for final boss as he gave up the DLC once due to the difficulty. He returned two weeks later when he found the easy mode
Even the game director of Elden Ring admit he is bad at his own game. He use all in game tools he created to overcome the difficult content. If POE2 give players the choice to tailor the difficulty of the game, it will attract more casual players and become a main stream game.
