Why separate Realms Eternal and Seasonal?

mean if it’s any faster to level with the xpac I’d say why does this game even have seasons when the whole journey to get back there lasts a few hours, what’s the point?

So they can have people beta test future content while selling them as some sort of seasonal temporary gimmick, like having a customizable companion, reworked green helltide etc.
