My only suggestion ist to expand the “profane mindcage” system so we can juice all content in the game to our needs with just 1 click.
I don’t talk here about complex sextant systems with different influences to maps, own map passive trees, etc…just “profane mindcages” but with more options than just +10, so all open world content stays relevant even with very good gear.
I said “meaningfuly”…that’s everything but not the point of this thread.
My point is that everyone can define his own difficulty with such system.
A fresh LVL 80 char maybe runs profane mindcage +10…If this becomes to easy 5 levels later he can put in +20.
And a LVL100 Char with BIS gear can Put in a +100 mindcage and have relevant endgame this way while farming for the last 3-4 gear pieces to have perfect gear.
This way all content stays relevant, even with BIS gear.
I talk here purely about endgame diversity…Or do you want only 1 endgame activity in the game with Pits and nothing else?
as a casual, im happy for the changes to make the game easier and makes me wanna play more and its enjoyable. I was able to play with my godson over fathers day for a few hours and it was a blast, we ran the gauntlet a few times, a few mini bosses and duriel a bunch of times.
I’d love it if i could easy mode a pit 200 if 200 is the cap but i never see that happening this season or even 10 seasons from now, but I do like that pit 100 is more within reach with some effort on my part.

And again and again, ppl are mindlessly using pit tier 200 as measurement of difficulty. First of, it is currently technically impossible to clear tier 200 becuz the game design does not allow it. There aren’t enough power spike granted to the players to achieve a tier 200 completion. Secondly, regardless of the pit wall u hit, be it 120, 130, 140 or 150, this content is only fun for the first time u cleared it becuz there is no replay value to keep clearing a close to 15mins which is nearly the limitation of your min max gears. The first time you hit the pit wall is also the end of it until you can luckily find a better gear that can exceed that wall but as of now, the limitation is still far from 200 and it is not becuz players do not want to chase for it but rather, the game design has yet to implement such power spike for you regardless of itemization or skill build to be able to achieve tier 200.
What makes it so hard to understand that tier 200 pit is not the measurement of difficulty now? The nerf to tormented bosses tho, is really really questionable becuz they were fine the way it is right from the start of season 4. They don’t even need to spoonfeed the casual becuz it is clearable with decent gears, even with lousy gears but with good skills.
Because casuals and skilless players cry whenever there’s remotely challenging content of any kind, even if it’s not made for them (because they believe everything should be made for them, including later tiers of content designed to be difficult).
Exactly, congratulations…just in a more simple way and with only 1 item to do so: Profane Mindcages that have more level than just +10
And thats totaly fine…with my suggestion it won’t restrict you in any way.
The problem in D4 is that with above avarage gear most of the activities in D4 are way to easy (esp open world) and my suggestion would give every player the opportunity to adjust the difficulty to his needs and gear state.
Thats all I wrote here…no idea why poeple react in such an insulting way when people suggest more endgame diversity, but it is how it is and sadly a normal behaviour in Diablo forums. ^^
Took all the hype right out of the game for me. Bad balance, game too easy, too many bugs, bricking ultra rare items im getting tired of this game already. Worst patch in gaming history

if i wanted to play PoE juiced maps. I would. and I have. do you know when PoE was in it’s early days it was much, much, much harder than it is now? in fact I think they re introduced something similar.

POE map juice was only a example but my suggestion is not even close to the complexity of map juicing in POE.
I just talk about “profane mindcage” (thats already in the game, the thing that looks like a brain) and instead of only having +10 we would have a slider where we can adjust the difficulty between +10 and +100 as example.
So everyone can adjust the difficulty to his needs and gearstate and everything in the game stays relevant, even in endgame with BIS gear.
But POE like “map juicing” would be nice for NMDs, where we can upgrade NMD maps up to 10 times and every roll we get a random affix (ofc more dangerous as further we roll).
Id love the ability to double click another mindcage to make it a +20 or use a mind cage to make the 75/80 mini bosses 85/90 (instead of using 2 stones and make them a level 200 version)
