Why is Shako drop glitch so offending to people?

No. Blizz did. Yep. Blizz. Well, the users before, and Blizz after by not enforcing it.

With what did they violate their own TOS?

Not enforcing bugs exploits

Not must. No. They can decline.

ugh. the TOS clearly states blizzard may or may not do it. so it cant be violated by them. Hard concept, i know.

It’s a muddy concept, not a hard one. That said, they can’t just blatantly violate everything they said before that quibble.

Maybe you should first learn what Exploit mean. But what happend was no exploit. It was just fail from Blizzard. They opened a way to “Targetfarm” via chest in Helltide for certain Slots. As for example. Tempest Roar on my Druid. Never get the Drop, now i had as chance to Targetfarm. They just forget that not every class has Unique Items in the Helm Slot.
I am right here? No Unique Mage or Barb Helmet? So what happens. This two classes farmed Helmet Chests and got a ridiculous high Chance to get a Shako.
And how much people? Yes. 142 got a Shako. And with Season Start next week. I really do not care if this People got it. And this was not “exploited item” just failed design from Blizzard.
And just sayin. If you are saying you are not able to play PvP anymore cause of this 142 Shakos, you have really bad luck that this peoples are always in your layer when you try to PvP

yes they can. LOL. what is there even to argue? they can ban you for no reason basically.

That obviously rules you out.

Sure it was. They knew it was bugged, and exploited the bug. That’s an exploit. If they didn’t know, then it wouldn’t be, but they did, making it one. It’s like the difference between manslaughter and murder. Murder requires intent. Exploiting requires intent.

And what was the Bug? Blizzard only told us. “There. Helltide Chest can now Drop Unique Items. go farm for you slots.” and? what was the exploit? Is it no allowed for Farm with Barb and Mage helm slots?

They did on daily basis for what dude???

They literally just made it so unique “COULD drop” from Helltides chests” the same night buggy patch went live…

Why would you farm for something that didn’t have chance to drop? Better ancestrals? Yeah. But saying druids farmed on daily basis for “Unique”? :slightly_smiling_face:

Usually i look up where stuff drops if i want to farm for something. But hey, that’s just me. :slightly_smiling_face:

My main issue is that people got items at a much better drop rate than the rest of us. I’m not a fan of the amazingly low drop rates of Uber uniques, but I’m not losing sleep over it since everyone is affected by it. Well, they were, until the bug handed out a years worth of Uber rares in a 6h period.

The bug was Helm and Chest Helltides dropping Uber uniques at a 800% buffed rate. The exploit was people realizing that instantly and then going and deliberately looting those chests in an attempt to capitalize

It’s not an issue they got it… More how blizzard handled it (which was legitimately the worst they could have done).

They offered information that was unnecessary for the action they took.

They went out of their way to let everyone know the total accounts who benefited from this bug. This was unnecessary information if they weren’t going to remove the items.

They should have just stated the issue is fixed and left it at that as they do with all other bug fixes.

Instead they tried to use 142 to make it seem so minor, but that is dependent on the person reading the statement. 142 may be minimal but it also shows it’s minimal effort to remove the items. It also leaves doubt in people’s mind on the legitimacy of the number they gave.

A good portion who got likely were just playing the game and we’re lucky. There is video evidence that many recognized the bug and then began to farm. (These people should lose their items because they have proof they abused the bug knowingly).

The last portion they made the situation worse, was they then stated if you abuse a glitch in the future you may face consequences. They made a open ended warning… Despite showing they do not follow their own rules. You’d be an idiot to not take your chances based on their actions.

Again had they just stated it was fixed and reiterated they may take corrective action for these types of issues… The whole issue wouldn’t be an issue. Blizzard made this an issue for themselves by themselves.

If it wasn’t a bug, why did Blizzard “fix” it after about 6 hours?

Thats assuming on your point. There could be immense dangers doing stuff on a database or they simply lack the tools altogether.
since these 142 seems to be “proven” wrong, what makes you think they are capable of figuring out to delete them?
