Putting bugs and game play aside the game suffers from something being called boring!!!
Loot grinder with no actual loot to grind for… youve seen all the loot the game has to offer bar uniques by level 30… theres no excitement when finding loot = mega fail.
I mean last night i got nagle ring on d2… very nice ring early game and can be shared between characters to help. D4 has none of this… it doesnt even have mercs!!!
I also got brain hew… another unique although i cant use it on my barb my druid maybe like this when leveling up.
When people see the name diablo they think loot and builds… d4 has neither do = fail.
Strange you say that. I have fallen asleep in my chair like 5 times when playing this game. Haven’t ever fallen asleep playing a game. Ever. I thought it was maybe I’m getting older but maybe it really is the game.
As an oldschool gamer and a Diablo fanboy since 1997 I personaly like the game bcs I set myself own endgame goals (for me it’s trading BIS rares on official Discord trading channels) + have good friends to play with.
But I understand why many people are disappointed and review bombing the game.
It’s practicaly a game in a early Beta phase for $70-100…For people like me, who were D2 Beta tester in the past it’s not that tragical but I understand that not many people want to be Beta tester, esp if they pay so much money for a BEta version of a game.
Game needs at least 6 more months of developement to become “good” and a lot of reworks and recoding to make content interesting, include QOL and to fix performance issues.
The biggest construction zones are currently:
the endgame
the trivial difficulty of most of the activities outside of NM60+ Dungeons
the tedious and slow down activites/mechanics (like renown, some events, animations, etc…)
Lack of stash space for multiple chars (Could be easy fixed with 4 personal and 1 shared stash tabs for every char instead of 5 shared)
Lack of build diversity + bad skill tree
and the boring itemization (items in D4 are super boring atm, even worse than in Wolcen in it’s EA phase).
But let’s see how the D4 devs will handle it…I mean they’ve got tons of feedback, I simply hope that they listen to people who shared this feedback in an constructive way to improve the game in a good way.
Probably because D4 Devs have set a new standard for RPGs so fans and devs from companies like Larian Studios, FromSoftware, Capcom etc are review bombing it while in reality D4 is a solid 10/10
IMO because it’s a very good shell/template for a game. But it doesn’t have enough content and/or content variation to actually be a good game (also why so many irritating things slow the player down).
Not to say you can’t get value for money, I certainly have played enough hours to get that, but I won’t be seasoning until there are major additions to the content.
Every game is broken and has been since game were released. The memory leak issue is a common one among games. The end game is really no different then in D3. Uber items are not any different than some of the itmes in d3 that you can hunt for over a decade and never get. The issue with the hell tide chest doesnt effect every one. Nerfs happen always has and always will. The grind is part of ARPGs. Child? You mean the ones screaming about how the game doesnt work the way they think it should? Good luck with that.
Normally I don’t bother replying to children who speak like a 3rd grader.
The amount of drops was one of the biggest complaints in d3. Which they said would not be the case if you paid attent ion to any of the developer posts You are also comparing d3 after 10 years of development. When it first came out none of that was true. Not a single part. They also stated that it wouldn’t be as fast paced as d3 ince.
The problem with the vram leak is that not everyone suffers it. Fixing an issue that is set up dependent is not an easy once. As an example I don’t suffer from the vram leak. Seem to only effect a certain type of graphic cards and set up.
You so know that throwing what you think are serial insults only makes you look like an entitled douch right? You really should learn to be more articulate and leave the 3rd grade play ground insults out. You will be taken more seriously.
I say again: game is great when you have power station like me 4090+i9 6Ghz+DDR5 64 Giga + from windows store DTX - with this sound blows everything around…amazing sound! It needs 6-12 months to be really top game…
When you ship crap to players it’s natural for players to leave reviews pointing out the crap shipped to them. When you take that crap and then take a dump on top (mega nerf patch) of it all it does is amplifies it.
