To your point – a loot filter would improve this process of “not being in town” significantly in D4.
You spend so much time scrolling over things which are 99.9% bad.
If you could just filter out all the garbage to look for specifics, then you wouldn’t mind tempering (as much, still a bad system tho) as the downtime between killing monsters and sitting in town/scrolling your inventory would be significantly lessened.
Unfortunately, we have the D4 team who seems to think that because they squished the item affix category, a loot filter is no longer necessary.
Meanwhile, I’m pulling 9 inventories of loot out of T8 IH, all of which is garbage.
When I have to sift through literally hundreds of items (manually & every single run) to see if anything even has the chance to be upgraded, I’m already exhausted with your game.
If I then have to spend more time, in town, watching the 1 piece of loot from literally thousands instantly become unusable, then I am officially done.
The crazy dichotomy to me is that D4 is the most casual ARPG on the market, with the most brutal/hardcore crafting system as well – somehow.
