Why go to Torment 2,3,4?

It gets boring if everything just dies instantly. Because then when you do get stronger, why? What difference did it make?

I hear what your saying.

But we farm and farm and get into Torment 4 and the same thing happens.

I’m just cutting out all that unnecessary farming. That’s why a lot of people have stopped playing D4.

Progression has not ever really been changed other than slower this Season and faster the next.

Higher tiers are for putting your gear and skills to the test.

Once you out grow a difficulty you have the choice to increase it.

My build is supported by excel. Power point doesn’t have the right tools.

Is it really like that?
I have the same build as last Season.
But my level of progress is very different.

I can only think of three things:

  1. The witch powers were stronger.

  2. A hidden nerf to Paragon, stats, or talents.

  3. The most obvious one: an artificial increase in difficulty. I played the same amount of time, and yet last Season I was already around Paragon 240, and now I barely reach 180.

Oh the game could definitely use more incentives than get stronger to do the same things just on a harder difficulty. The whole reason Blizzard modified the difficulty was a band aid for their lack of end game or adding additional end game to the already non-existent end game.

Agree. I wrote about that in a seson 7
I played the game since Seson 2… and in Seson 8 until level 70-80… got so bored that uninstalled. Hope that seson 9 make some noise.

What world are you living in? Not even close. Try again.

If they can convince the uninformed and ignorant that it does it makes sales.

Definitely not in a season. I am sure now that it has been mentioned it will be in the season journey for S9.

I am experiencing the same frustration with bosses and their respective dungeons. The dungeon content is full of snowflakes, and the boss is like an avalanche, and for what? The loot off of them sucks, in my experience—like one in 100,000 chances to get something “okay.” The rest are just mats you can sweep up in other areas with no effort on a semi-capable toon.

You gotta remember
The reward for dungeons isnt loot, its obucite
The reward for pits isnt loot, its glyphs/experience

That content isnt for loot

Higher difficulty awards are a greater challenge and a higher chance at greater rewards. If that’s not your jam? Then stay in Torment 1; you do you! My incinerate sorcerer is currently in Torment 1, and while he can do Torment 2, it’s more of a challenge with his current gear, so I just stay in Torment 1.

The only thing you’ll miss out on are stages of the season journey, which eventually will require you to go up to higher torment levels. If that’s something you’re not interested in? No worries.
