First, there are only 2 sexes: male and female. Gender is a different animal. Currently there ar 11 documenteded genders. That said, gender is an subject that should be left out of the character design, IMO. The choice of male or female is all that should be available. Obviously, you have a presonal interest in gender diversity. That’s your right. However, leave it where it is - in the complicated real world. Let the gaming world alone. No one, including you, should be offended by that.
My point is that a spectrum does exist whether people like it or not. It’s just the older generations and rural, uneducated people that rail against this. I don’t think video games need every flavor of lgbtq+ myself, as that’s a ton of labor to produce something that doesn’t really add anything to the game but I don’t agree with all the ignorance happening in this thread either…
I think BG3 did a great job of representation without being too overt. The option is there and no one is affected one way or the other.
But naturally the neckbeards playing their fat Druids (oh, sorry, what’s the euphemism we’re using? “Strongmen”?) would be threatened by some alleged woke agenda.

They could at least introduce an option used by a sorceress. Even though I play a sorcerer,
the class name remains ‘sorceress.’ They could implement it as a choice for each class.
It’s possible that it’s only in my language version, but such an option for every class would greatly improve the experience.

in what universe would this be useful? You get a dropdown list of genders but it doesn’t affect the GRAPHICS? Which is that these options are for. You get titles as you play friend, and there are gender specific titles if you find them.
I mean heck there is even a semicolon quest chain. This is the most accepting Blizzard game ever produced. and yet you find a reason to cry? seek counseling.
First off that was a joke. Second off what else is there than external appearance? You want a sign over your head that identifies you for attention? What would be the purpose?
