Why did they ruind the game by catering for consolers

Yeah most you can do with a Keyboard on XBOX is type in chat. (After you open the chat menu with your controller of course)

Can turn off interacting with them seems to stop my rubber banding as My PC way overpowers a console.

What are your PC’s actual specs? Just making sure we’re comparing apples to apples…

We’ve have been covering this issue for awhile now….at minimum D4 never should have been a PS4 game.

RTX 4080
Ryzen 9 5900x 12 core 3.70
64gb ram

Not sure why this is relevant to the point? PC Master racers always bragging about PC but own a pc they got from Rent A Center.

Turning off crossplay has nothing to do with whether PCs or consoles are better. It works better because you are cutting down on the communication and synchronization that is required to make the game function across multiple types of systems. It’s simply less work. Of course it is going to run smoother.

Consoles will never out beat a 1000 dollar PC or theyd be 1000 Dollars.

1k dollar? lol that must be some PC with integrated Intel gpu or something… You are lucky if you can run minecraft on a 1000 dollar pc

The point is to make sure that we’re talking about comparing new hardware to the same generation on the other side, and not a skewed new vs. old comparison.

I’m only running an intel i9-12900k w/ EVGA RTX2080 (custom build), though the latter will be replaced by an Asus Strix RTX4090 once the self-cooking power connectors are actually fixed with something other than shorter pins

Series X has these listed stats:

Processor|8x Cores @ 3.8 GHz (3.66 GHz w/ SMT) Custom Zen 2 CPU|
Graphics|12.155 TFLOPS, 52 CUs @ 1.825 GHz Custom RDNA 2 GPU|
Die Size|360.45 mm2|
Process|7nm Enhanced|
Memory|16 GB GDDR6 w/ 320mb bus|
Memory Bandwidth|10 GB @ 560 GB/s, 6GB @ 336 GB/s|

I don’t think these spec’s are anything remarkable, but I guess they good by console standards.

Not true at all. Consoles are typically sold at a loss because software is the money maker.

I turned that cross platform console player crap off the first day and never looked back. Why did they think this was a good decision?

You can find 1000 dollar machines that will play any game out. Mine is much more but if ya google or amazon it youll find them not that Id buy a prebuilt… But just quicl look there are many under 1k that would run any new game and out beat any console.

Should compare to he PS4 stats not series X, that’s the console game was designed for.

Because it is a good decision.

Playing with your friends no matter which platform they use is absolutely huge.

I do think it may have been a mistake to launch the game for last gen Xbox one and ps4 though. It does not run well on those, but that’s all client side and should have no impact on the server, or quality of other peoples gameplay unless you are grouping with them.

I play on both pc and xbox and disabling crossplay has no difference on lag or rubber banding. You are experiencing placebo effect.

i think they optimized for the weird setup ps5 has (shared 16gb ram both for cpu and video) - with the intent to figure it out later when it comes to pc

should be the other way around imo… but im biased lol

Seems like many NVidia cards have their temps ramp up while running D4, and a few reported their GPU’s getting bricked by the extra heat. I have to run MSI Afterburner and limit power to 80% and set the fans at 60% max rpm to avoid hearing that loud fan whine on my RTX2080Ti.

That’s because it’s a terrible console port.

I would also assume it’s mostly male rednecks that still want to play games with plastic thumb sticks

They didn’t want to spend money on developing two different clients. The entire game is nothing but cost cutting measures. Pathetic for such a huge franchise and the resources Activison has. Out of all of their games, I don’t understand why they put so few resources into D4. It was a guaranteed bestseller. Terrible business decision.

haha good one

-goes back to playing current gen console games emulated on my pc.
