Good point. How would they not be able to tell I own the game if I get preorder goodies in other non console games like WoW.
Thats my logical thinking as well.
I felt your pain and it was frustrating since I had good ideas or things to bring up about diablo 3 and was only able to post in console.

I don’t know what’s going on with the PC section. I haven’t pre purchased anything but I did participate in the beta weekend and I was able to post on the PC forums but as of a few days ago it says I need a valid key…. Not sure what happened but it doesn’t make sense.
I was able to post in the PC forum last week, but then it became disabled and I can no longer continue any of the conversations in the threads I had commented in.
It’s a bit unfair since the majority of the topics are on the PC section because that’s where the majority of the community is.
The console forum should be reserved for console-specific threads, whereas general game topics should be in the PC section.
You need a key because a person who preordered is less likely to be negative about the game, it’s Blizzard’s answer to the “preorder cancelled” threads.
Why the platforms are separate, not sure. But PC players can post on either subforum from what I understand.

wierd i got the PC edition and a refund and im still able to post on both forums…
Main reason is that most PC players want PC and console players to be divided on D3 forums. They don’t even like it when someone who owns both versions but now plays only on console posts in “General Discussion” but some of them like to brag about how much better PC version is in “Console Discussion”. That’s why split was copied to D2R and D4 forums.
And yes… you in fact can not post in “General Discussion” if you don’t own PC version of D3.
I think they’re brigading/limiting the PC discussion forum.
I was on it, having played the PC beta, then got automatically kicked out when they set the limitation to “who pre-ordered only”.
They want to control the narrative on the PC forum, and I get why, during beta it was flooded with some heated criticism.

This is the first I’ve ever heard of it.
PC players often complain about console features being put into their games, in particular changes to UI or FOV, but I’ve never heard a complaint on the D3 or D4 boards of console players posting in the PC section.
