Oh nice! I heard that from one friend a while back but forgot till you mentioned it. I’m kind of doing a little happy dance in my chair lol.
wow…crazy…
People are strange
its not a bad game. i havent played it in atleast a year. i played the heck out of it when it first entered early access. its best if you play with friends so you can build your base together
No it isn’t. The seasonal concept came from ladders which is nothing more than a fresh start realm with leaderboards. You don’t need to lock new content behind it to achieve that goal.
No locked content, no reason to have seasons, at all. You can start a fresh character on Eternal. Practically no one cares about leaderboards.
eternal is for permanent content, not temporary content. all new permanent content is put on eternal. the temporary seasonal content is the only thing eternal doesnt get
Thanks for telling me about Vrising… there is a Castlevania pack!
I’m geeking out right now lol.
Players did ladders for years in D2 without new content
And? What’s your point? D2 was 20 years ago. I haven’t even looked for or found leaderboards in D4. They’re not why people are playing D4.
Is your point things shouldn’t change…in a thread about how things should change that you created?
Things did change. Now they should change again.
Exclusive content per mode is a silly idea.
Same if HC mode suddenly got new bosses, new uniques etc. that other modes did not.
Um…the entire argument was for new content to be allowed on all realms. Do try and understand the argument before chiming in.
Yes, and if new content is placed on Eternal, Seasons should be removed. They’d be pointless. Try to keep up.
No they wouldn’t. You still have the reset and the leaderboards which is the entire purpose of ladders which players did for years. If you don’t get that simple concept then I can’t help you any further.
You need an entirely different mode of game play to reset leaderboards? That’s your argument? Or are you actually trying to defend something you don’t want changed and being a hypocrite?
Not exactly, a bunch of ladders had exclusive items. This only changed in D2 Resurrected, and if you see what the complaints are there, one of the biggest is the lack of new ladders items or updates.
In fact, in that era there was also another limitation which was content gated only to online modes, like uber bosses.
So, I don’t know, this argument is not that good…
Same. If a game only has the option for a male playable character I’ll usually write it off immediately. It has to be a masterpiece can’t miss kind of game for me to even consider a purchase if I have to play as a dude.
A new item or two is entirely different from an entire new questline packed with special powers and abilities for all classes. Not to mention an entire new zone of vampires or a pet spider.
And most of that stuff is temporary. For the season. I still have yet to see why a season mode would be necessary if all the SEASONAL CONTENT was on Eternal. They’d pretty much be the same mode.
Seriously, you truly believe people are playing S4 for Gauntlet Leaderboards and that those leaderboards couldn’t possibly be active on an Eternal realm and reset every 3 months?
Well, but then you are comparing what is big content in a GaaS nowadays, with a game feom another era like D2 that playing online in a system like battlenet was already very, very innovative.
Besides, a single item there created builds that was already everything you would basically interact in a different way, since there was no endgame and you have very repetitive things to do after finishing the game.
Today’s expansion news really triggered some people. They don’t want mercs and seeing other players with wings and pets triggers them so badly that they want an option to remove that blasphemous stuff from their screen. I’m not a wings fan myself but once again we have players worrying too much about what others do in game.
