It’ll be interesting to see how it works in D4. In D3, if you weren’t seasons you were probably stuck to being solo since there were very, very few non season players. WIth D4 having the MMO Lite aspect, I’ll be interested to see how it goes.

maybe having played a lot of diablo 3 and its seasons helps i don’t want the same season system, why a diablo iv if i’m going to keep playing diablo 3 ressurect? One more thing for me to worry about , Diablo 3 is there if you like this system and just go and play , the same goes for those who say that Diablo 2 is better , it 's there too , just go and play , leave a current game be a current game, not be stuck in the past with old and recycled mechanics
I don’t understand why you continue to play the game unless you are having fun with it. We knew long before the game was released it will be based around seasons like all of the other ARPG games.
This is not a MMORPG with time-gates to artificially extend content. The more serious type of gamers complete the game in weeks while the casuals and those in between take a couple of months. Seasons are a way for us to replay the game with slight changes.
If you don’t care about seasons just stop playing once you feel you completed the game and return for expansions or when you feel like playing again like you do with nearly every other type of video game.
I don’t understand why people act like D4 is a MMORPG and treat it differently from every other video game.
Playing any game wastes your time, you are going to quit all of them soon or later and move onto something else. If you feel like you need constant progression with no loss then there are very few games like that out there. All I can think of is Runescape and some MP focused games like League.
Generally you get the big group that play for the story. The players that stay need more than story, thus you have ladders. For ladders, you need seasons. That’s why most of the player base that stays play seasons.
You both are wrong, we dont know any numbers except the sale numbers. Quit pulling numbers out your butt to make yourself smarter than the other guy thats pulling numbers out his butt.

That’s what worries me, because many who leave because they see the old season system won’t give it more chances in the future when the game changes or gets better, because they’re probably already investing their time in another game that they feel more valued, and this is bad for a game that is online and that is good to play with other people
Servers tend to record information that’s how they work, you don’t think blizzard knows how many people are playing the game?
Yes, there was not much to do, thankfully Blizzard has created a Battlepass for all to enjo……oh locked behind seasons that no one wants to play? No thanks.
Like you said, most left ages before seasons started. Sounds like a massive failure.

You do know both D2 and D3 have seasons that you need to create new characters for and completely redo everything right?
D4 actually has account progress that will carry over in comparison.

Blizzard does yes, and only blizzard. And they havent released those numbers, only the sales numbers. So once again, how do you know the random websites on google numbers are “pretty close”?
D2 seasons came after 4-5 years after release most people quit by then and never tried seasons and Diablo 3 was a joke people didn’t play it long enough to make it there
They know that Seasons/Greater Rifts is what saved D3. That’s why everything is revolving around seasons in D4. Not even releasing end game content until seasons.
Because its fun. Playing the game is suppose to be fun. If u not playing because its fun and only for rewards or collecting things then u could play any other game.

they are afraid of running away from the same old recipe , that 's clear , that 's why I cry because I know that the least change would please all sides making the game win over more people and not spoil the experience of people who only see it inside from your bubble of old mechanics
