yep, I still remember someone bought a horadric hamburger for like $500 or something
I have a sneaking suspicion you keep you account private so people don’t realize you spend 90% of your day on these forums and feel bad for you.
no i keep it private to force you goofball kids to focus at the topic at hand, where you usually get smoked, because im a far superior intelligence
only redditors go on fishing expeditions. try that site, likely more your speed LOL
So, I’ve been gaming since the 80’s as well and feel that games have changed for the better. They evolved, honestly.
Not an attack when I say this because your comment sounds earnest but if we want to experience the older games they are out there and still available to play. Some might require an emulator but we can still play them.
Nostalgia shouldn’t be a reason not to also enjoy the latest titles for what they are. IMO true gamers just love games so the more incarnations the better.
Sounds like you never left Reddit, donut.
Please, continue to ramble about your “superior intelligence” while you make the same argument on literally a hundred posts a day. Take a shower, eat a real meal, and go outside.
You’re generalizing and completely missing the point.
“true gamers just love games.”
If we weren’t forced to shill out $80, maybe.
If we weren’t forced subscription fees, maybe.
If we weren’t forced to pay more money on top of a COLLECTOR’S EDITION, maybe.
But not today, and not here.
this entire thread and most of the people replying are super confusing.
so you all hate d3 AND d4? AND poe? so what the heck do you like lol
and don’t tell me your d2 purists lol
wow wasnt even talking to you and yet you replied with this
struck a nerve i guess, lots of projection in that post. takes about 10 seconds to fire off a comment on the boards by the way. not sure why you think a high post count is indicative of anything. unless your response here took you 10 minutes to cook up?
still running a 50 baud modem up in that thinkbox of yours?
LOL
Whut!?
Whut!?
Whut!?
Whut!?
Literally NONE OF THIS was good. None of it. The fact that you’re whining because this crud - which added NOTHING of value - isn’t present. Well.
That’s on you.
Yeah, I don’t see the appeal of D2 or PoE either. And while I do think D4 has problems, I think they’ll get worked out with time.
And in time, the D2/PoE people will eventually go back to where they came from, crying about the “failure of D4” and about how D3 ruined it, and we’ll be playing D4 and having fun.
sure I was a bit over-generalizing with numbers of builds, but really all diablo games have only a few builds that are ‘competitive’ in the broad game meta. It doesn’t mean other builds don’t work - they do. But the narrative of restricted valid skills and builds is based on a meta consensus of achieving specific things rather than balance health of the whole game.
I also recognize that more than one of my points, including this one, were kind of off topic for this specific thread. I guess I got a bit rambling in an attempt to articulate my thoughts.
I took the “all the controversy surrounding Diablo 3” and “take the absolute worst parts of diablo 3…” as bringing in the baggage of that argument. Could have been I was wrong about that.
Won’t happen. D3 was bad. So much so they had to have it on 5 consoles just to make the numbers SEEM good.
lmfao, what even is this take. The removal of the RMAH was one of the best changes to ever happen to the game. Opinion completely disregarded.
Not sure what that has to do with my post stating that what one person says are “traditional APRGs” is not the same as another.
The only game I said I couldn’t get into was POE, then I made the statement that D2 wasn’t in my greatest of all time pantheons of ARPGs, then I gave critique of D3 but said I still liked it for combat. Then I said I like when APRGs have slower pace rather than speedrun maps as the goal. Then I said D4 fits better for me. Then I said that asking how could someone possibly think of this as a good idea was a bit insulting to those of us who like the idea.
I’m not sure where in there I made it seem like I didn’t like other ARPGs, older ARPGs or that I didn’t think games have evolved over time.
Essentially - I’m not sure what points of mine you are arguing with.
It’s whose not who’s
100%
They copied the worst parts of D3 and put them into D4, despite saying they didn’t want to do that for the past four years. They gave us the same kind of item scaling and power scaling D3 offered. It’s some what different with the reliance on CD’s and weaker basic skills. But not by much.
Huh? I never even mentioned “the point”. Yes, I made a general observation. Thanks for pointing that out Capt. Obvious. Now go back to explaining how I missed a point that I never even debated.
