I agree , I couldn’t put my finger on what was looking “off” for the first 30 mins…then…my eyes hurt.

The intended play experience is on consoles as blizzard is a console and phone dev company. They build games for console/phone first and if they have leftover time they port them to pc and if they have time after that they might make minor pc improvements but never if they have a cost towards their main audience the console/phone players.

I play on an ultrawide monitor and noticed this corner distortion right away. Very unpleasant. We should be able to turn it off.

I would really like some feedback from Blizzard on this. As soon as you’re looking at the outer 30% of the screen it’s like watching a 3D movie but they didn’t give you any 3D glasses. It is very headache inducing.

It gets gradually worse and worse the further away you get from the center of the screen which is why Ultrawide players notice it more.

I really can’t believe ANYONE thought this effect would be a good idea in the first place, and to think they still went ahead with it despite complaints about it during the PTR.

“We are listening to the community”. Most of the reported issues are not fixed, and here we are with even more issues and annoyances. Blizzard excels at finding new ways to disappoint.

We’re aware and planning some changes to address this in the upcoming 2.0.3 patch.

“We have a larger client patch (Patch 2.0.3) that will be next week that will hit on quite a few things. We will aim for notes early next week on these.”

I think this is the point. Players were complaining that people with ultrawide displays had an advatange. Rather than not support the resolution, they just blurred it making it worthless. Such a chad move.

I hope this is true, but I do fear that they will focus on the performance/crashing issues and don’t take this blurriness issue seriously, because there are relatively few people complaining about it… :frowning:
