It depends here. Every season I’ll budget 1 cosmetic to buy for my season character. For Season 0 that was nothing (Druid), Season 1 was Belladonna (Necro), and Season 2 was Sorc Father’s Judgement.
As for the budget aspect. My “side gig” is my fun money account. Cash from work goes into the family 100% but my side gig cash goes for dinner out with my wife, games, and/or hobbies (Magic cards and Warhammer primarily). So, tbh, I just balance my desire for a skin compared to other wants and decide.
I’d like there to be both. I’m cool with buying cosmetics in any game I play (unique art on Magic cards as an example) but I’d also like more rewards like the mount skin from Duriel
I have a crazy backlog of games right now, lol. I’d definitely say games > skins but personally right now I’m limiting myself to one or two game purchases this Winter Sales season (probably BG3 and Have a Nice Death)
