Which Class will you play first in Season 4 after experiencing the PTR?

A fire sorcerer, FINALLY!!!

Incinerate was so much fun leveling up on the PTR, and I’m curious if it’s good in the pit.

But I might switch to flame weaver cuz that build was a boss killer and it was with some slapped together gear and a half assed thought out build.

Good times.

I think Barb was the only class I haven’t played. However it is almost going to be a new game so I may have to put all back in a hat and draw.

Sorc like always - but which style? I was sorta trying out Conjurer (fire and lightening) and most likely will start with that. Manual and item drops will influence early decisions.

Well I think eternal will be my jam with the new crafting system unless I need to unlock something through seasonal play. The crafting system is deep enough for me to chew on multiple characters and that is good thing.

On the off chance that I do, Sorc/Rogue.

In the beta I had done a Necro and had wild fun with it. But never did look at it until PTR, tried different stuff and just did not have much fun. Rogue too, had that in beta, wild fun. First season I played (this current 3) made the Rogue. But Rogue in PTR was just not fun for me.

Oddly when came debuted I made a Sorc, neve much happy with it. This time around on PTR it was a blast. Now it motivates me to start on Day 1 with a sorc.

Just can not find the interest in Druid or Barb. Never liked the barb in D2, never even tried on in D3, no interest in D4.

Ive been on a LE run for the past couple months and was excited to read the S4 patch notes. As they didnt implement my Favorite throw barb build, Im going to settle for another barb fav I always played and that is the Leap Quake Barbarian …

I will start out the season with the build that allows me to farm the fasted. Which will likely be blizzard sorc or frozen orb sorc assuming they dont nerf FO sorc by season start. Generally not a fan of spam builds where not a lot of talent is involved so i will move away from FO once i get all of my gear. I speculate FO falls into the seasonal gimmick category and will be ‘balanced’ by s5, making it a B tier build… an A tier in best case scenario.

Ill go back to firewall sorc once i get all my gear, and i will look at flameweaver. I will try to incorporate semi perm fireshield into the build as well if that is not nerfed by season start. These two new variations will make the existing firewall build a litte more interesting than just spamming firewall with FO echant as the default.

For context, Im a casual eternal player whos primary use case is PVP. Ive only ever played Sorc across the diablo series.

Minion necro for sure. I’ll experiment a bit with it

Like that bone minion necro. Probably start there.

I play all 5 classes in a season, so we’ll see what the S4 theme and patch notes are and go from there. Tend to play a fast-leveling and “S” tier end-game build as my first character so that by the time I reach 100 and start a second character, I have enough gold, mats, aspects, etc. to make the alt leveling process easier.

In S3, I played Barb, Sorc, Druid, Necro, and Rogue, in that order.

I haven’t played necro yet so probably that just for a change.

Rogue, Rogue and more Rogue…oh, did I mention Rogue?..

I think minion necro will be the easiest to level to 100. I usually start with rogue or barbarian though, and will probably start with barb…again. But eventually, i will get them all to 100. I may save necro for HC this time around instead of druid.

I use a different class each season (or a sorc and a new class). I started with Sorc (my main class). Season 2 I did a druid. Season 3 I have a barbarian. I was planning for Necro next (Rogue is bottom of list), and that was before we had the upgrade to pets, so Necro for sure next season.

The only class I haven’t played for real is Necro, but curious to see how a one particular Rogue build (Fortify on Dodge & Overpower) can work

Frozen Orb Sorc
Necromancer pure summoner
Druid wolves summoner or similar

I dont make rogues or barbs anymore. Ew.

I’m only back to play summon necro so that and likely only that. If the expansion brings back the monk or a Templar type I would play those but I couldn’t get into any of the current classes but necro.

Played Necro first since S1, won’t change that for S4… after that, Druid and maybe Rogue

Conjur sorc with ice shards, so no change for me. Ill augment it with new itemization system and explore additional tools to use on it/push numbers harder, ect but dont see myself using the necklace with FO; seams very seasonal gimmick in flavor and dont care for the skill, thematically.

Hydra is my boi.
