Last A-RPG I played was D2R.
But in general, Grim Dawn is the reigning king of A-RPG design.
Last Epoch has a bunch of good design behind it as well.
Diablo 1 has a special place in my heart, wish more A-RPGs would return to that over Diablo 2 tbh.
Sacred 2, while deeply flawed in some ways, also did some good stuff.
PoE, in terms of system design, it is in the top tier too, but the combat and trading focus is atrocious.
Never cared much for Torchlight series.
