I almost never run into other players when trying to do events, I can count on one hand how many times I’ve seen 1 other person out in the open world at all.
I have seen many peoples in Ked Bardu
If you go do legion events, youll see people. I think most people are doing the story and are in story dungeons and such. Once there are a bunch of people done with the campaign, I expect we’ll see more people.
The game is designed to rarely see people in most areas
Blizzard promised not to make it into an over populated MMO style environment. They said we would see very few people out exploring based on how they are going to shard things. We will see more in town, but that is capped too.
Same goes for events - where you will see more, but they cap it somewhere around 12?
You will never see 100 people in game on top of your objective. That is done on purpose to make the fame feel more foreboding and alone, mostly alone.
Ya so far just 2 people seen since I’ve been playing.
I mean I know that but I thought people would appear for events but I’ve only had that happen twice this entire time.
Most players I have come in contact with do not communicate anyway.
I have tried to perk up chat with some of my witty charm but only to land with a thud and make no impact.
It has been this way since public testing started and it still gets my attention.
I like to chat when I’m in town, much like in D3, and while D3 chat was not exactly on fire you could normally find folks that wanted to talk, so I’m a little surprised by the crickets in D4.
At the beginning there was like no one anywhere. Now it’s starting to feel more like Server Slam. I do run into people doing world events etc. pretty often, and there are lots (relatively speaking) of people at the Kyovashad waypoint etc.
Maybe they have been fiddling with the server parameters and started with fewer players per world instance to try for a smoother launch.
Maybe folks didn’t spring the extra cash for early play
It does solve a lot of chat abuse issues though? I liked our chat lobby setup in D2, and even left chat on in D3, although I rarely used it.
Maybe they did enough analytics and realized most people don’t actually USE the public chat for constructive things that much?
Inrun intonalot of people when inam leveling if u r low or too high maybbe the issue
This is the big positive to come out of this, I have seen zero trolling or any negativity at all actually.
So maybe this is the future for us.
That about sums it up I guess, that’s a shame, I love helping and talking about the game to others, but I’ll take the loss if the community benefits, cus I’m such a team player and all!
Most of the time you are really really pleasant on the forums! That much is true. WoW forums as well.
I hear you dear, thanks for being awesome, I wouldn’t want you any other way.
I think they’re doing instances now like in a typical MMO? But for me I’ve seen a ton of people running around. Even chat with some people. I’m in NA server if that matters.
I had the opposite problem. I was seeing too many people in the world in general so I turned off cross platform play. There were usually one or two people at most events though.
