I was the only one in the zone, opened every exposed root and only got 6 in 15 minutes. What the hell counts as an exposed root? Is it only the one that spawns a boss? Do the little ones not count? How the hell am I supposed to complete this seasonal objective?
Just in case a dev see this, I hate this season’s final objectives, timed bull crap or crap you need to do in groups sucks for a seasonal objective.
As far as I can tell, the timer starts when you open the first one. You then have 15minutes to open the next 24. If you don’t reach that level, the timer and the count resets to zero again.
Exposed roots are all of them. Also, you don’t have to get them all in one zone. So move around to the other zones in order to do the easy and quick events.
yeah it’s a stupida$$ task, just ignore it. just hop into a random Horde party and you’ll get far more than 750 thingies.
as long as you got a build that can comfortably farm in T4, you can get the journey done easy.
It’s quite easy to do actually. Remember, after a whisper is silenced, you can have like 1, but also 4 or 5 mini roots that pop up. What you do is complete the fastest whispers (generally the herbs, prisoners or 100 harvest thingies). Just don’t pop the roots. Once you have done this, pop then all at once. Don’t fight mobs, just pop them, then get on horse, rush to open the ones you left before. Did like 30 roots within 15min.
You need actually to switch zones to do that. I did 15 mini roots in a map within 6min. Ported to another green zone, rinse/repeat and voila

if your objective is to complete the season journey tasks, focus on the fastest ones like dispelling the 3 seals, shepherding, frogs, or entangled, these can be completed quickly to spawn exposed roots. abandon tasks that might have a head inside, and teleport to another headhunt area to start fresh with faster tasks.
Just get in there and keep bangin.

p.s. if you’re running the Seasonal challenge and the HEADHUNT event pops off - don’t waste time standing around killing zombies.
Go do other whispers and watch the Icon on map - wait until icon disappears.
You’ll have appx 5-10 seconds until Boss Spawn.
Kill it and Pop the 4-5 roots that spawn.
pps. Set X-Play off. Imo this is the best way, though opinions and mileage will vary.
