Its not true tho. I know several people who didnt play D2R before and they told me that they enjoy it much more than D4.
Can you explain to me what is “today’s standards”. I dont know what I should imagine under that. D2 has great offline play and great online play, Remastered Graphic looks quite nice, I would say even bette than D4 in some cases. So what is today standard? Only think I can think of is missing payable consmetics and multiple DLC to milk player base. Thats what I sadly imagine under todays standards lol.

Its not case for majority of frequent D2/D2R players. We dont play it because of nostalgia, we play it because it has amazing replayability.
