There are a few…probably the biggest, lack of direction post level 70 and the ability for players to set goals to keep them playing.
In POE there is always another challenge sitting out there, but not too far from reach…all you have once you have unlocked WT4 is a replacement for Greater Rifts and Lilith who sits way out into the future somewhere.
