Pets.

It’s like Tom Cruises front center tooth, once you see it you can’t unsee it.

Once you know you don’t have to gather gold that fell behind you 5 feet or now all the mats, it is sorely missed.

Game’s title should’ve been Diab-where? Not Diab-lo. I miss that big red lizard.

Treasure goblin’s laugh and hearing that sound and then going to chase them down and actually getting good loot. Opening portals to greed.

The treasure goblins in this game suck

Replaying Campaign, Adventure Mode, the simple crafting, rifts and the pony level

Greater rifts. I know NM are sort of the same but they lack the randomness of the GRs that made them fun to me.

Oh and I forgot the density  So much stuff to slaughter. Precious.

The crafting system in 3 was way better.
Trading legendarys in standard was great.
Density was great!
The leveling speed!
Most importantly for me, there wasnt any time-gates. I could play and progress at my pace whenever I had time. Now I have to hope i get lucky enough for a helltide, legion, or world boss to be up in the small timeframe I have to play. D3 I could progress my gear strictly by running GRs, it was “family friendly”.

Not sure why some of you are saying crafting. I argue that the crafting part is better in D4 and id expect improvements with it in the future.

One of those improvements which i hope is made is ability to augment gear with gems. Like in 3.

I miss the enchanting costs and how you can see your potential options when rerolling a stat. I hate blindy rolling a item for a new stat and not knowing the possible outcomes.

Mostly the frogs.

I literally wanted everything from D3 with a new story

D3 systems, rewards, and gameplay feel were all superior - especially on console

I really miss kanais cube, it was a significant part at the beginning of every season.

Only spending once to save the strongest version of legendary affixes, and those affixes bound to the character, not an item that loses its effectiveness in 3-5 levels, and the excitement of upgrading yellow items to a random legendary weapon. This changed the dynamics of legendary items.

being able to collect bounty caches to have enough crafting to upgrade more yellow items to legendary efficiently.

A fun gameplay cycle, being able to do rifts at level one as an alternative to playing through the story again to get alts and seasonal characters to max level.

Better loot drops with more varied worthwhile legendary and set items.

shifting the difficulty level up and down when I was ready to, not this auto-adjusting difficulty while always feeling under powered, even in the easiest difficulty in D4. I enjoyed being able to turn down the difficulty and play mindlessly one day, then cranking up the difficulty to find better loot another day depending on my mood.

Thats all I can think of that kept me coming back season after season in D3 along with fun seasonal themes, tweaking under-utilized classes and skills as well as different themes to keep things fresh and fun.

Topic #5 “Tyrael and Diablo”

TLDR: Give it time. They’re planning stuff and as a Live-Service game, more is coming.

SPOILERS FROM A FAN BOY:

If you’ve finished the D4 campaign, note that we fought Andariel who was the first of The Seven to die in previous installments (Act 1 Boss in D2), then Duriel who was the second (Act 2 Boss in D2), then we met up with Mephisto who was the third to fall (Act 3 Boss in D2).

Given the fact that, according to the timeline published on YouTube by the Diablo official channel, D4 takes place 50 years after D3: Reaper of Souls which is set 20 years after D2: Lord of Destruction, 70 years in total. Blizzard has already announced two planned expansions so by the order they’ve died in Diablo will be the next of The Seven that we see with Baal to follow him, likely in first expansion. Second expansion will most likely see Belial and Azmodan with the final conclusion to the plot and since we’re trapping Mephisto’s essence in a Soulstone, it’s a good bet in my mind that we’ll do the same for His brothers, as canonically The Prime Evils are shipped together in all cases (see also the Temple of the Three in D4, the Dark Gathering cinematic of Act 4 in D2/D2R, and the Sin War lore entry from D1’s main menu option.)
