What Are You Using for Unstoppable in Your Build?

And why?

I just hit 45 on my druid and have been relying on Earthen Bulwark and Grizzly Rage to get me out of trouble when cc’d. I’ve been thinking about respec’ing into a lightning/storm build involving more nature skills rather than shapeshifting.

Unfortunately, moving to Cyclone Armor and Cataclysm means I lose both of my skills to get out of trouble.

Thanks for the help!!

Im a lightning storm druid, use both Earthern Bulwark and Cyclone (with the Cyclone imprint for physical mitigation). cycling between both i find is needed at my level (73). So I use cyclone mostly but then bulwark for cc breaking.

What are you using for your ultimate, if you’ve decided to spec that?

Thanks!

Earthn Bulwark and Trample with the aspect that gives you Unstoppable when injured and CCed.

I don’t have an Ultimate like Grizzly Rage to help me out, so tactical use of Bulwark and Trample helps and the Unstoppable aspect is a back up if they are on cooldown. I’ve died too many times to being CCed for 5+ seconds for me to not have it.

It’s honestly ridiculous how long you can get CCed for. It makes Unstoppable basically necessary. Blizz seems to think challenge means taking all control away from you.

That’s what was swatting me repeatedly on my rogue; I’d get CC’d and shortly thereafter I’d get to respawn, lol!

I have Bulwark and Griz Rage currently for unstoppable; I may have to try Trample and see if I can get used to it. Bouncing things off a cave wall for extra damage definitely sounds fun, although replacing Pulverize with that may not be an option if I want to keep my damage up when I get mobbed…

I’m using grizz rage → dire wolf. It’s too good with shredwolf not to use.

I haven’t had that Dire Wolf drop yet for Griz Rage, only for Debil Roar. I’ll put that on my list right up there with the Valsily’s Prayer helmet (if I decide to go perma bear with my Dr00D).

This, so much.

I use trample, grizzly rage and earthen bulwark.

Cant count how many times I died on being frozen, feared, frozen, etc, without chance to do anything.

So keeping 3 unstoppable abilities, always having at least 1 of them ready, not on cooldown.

Natures fury ultimate

But…Nature’s Fury just kicks out an equivalent spell in the same class of earth/storm. So if you’re hitting with Hurricane, then you have a chance to kick out a Boulder. If you cast Bulwark, you may get Cyclone Armor.

Sounds fun…I’ll have to try it and see if that 20% is worth the Ultimate slot that I currently have Griz Rage in as one of my Unstoppable skills…

If you go Nature’s fury you have to also go Symbiotic Aspect and it totally changes the gameplay. I run Bulwark and Trample with a Nature’s fury build, and that gets me out of everything if I’m careful not to get caught with my cooldowns gone… it doesn’t take long for my cooldowns to refresh, that’s the whole beauty of the build.
If anything, I wish I could stop my hurricane from casting boulder, but other than that it’s great.
FYI you can’t use Cyclone armor to get out of a stun as nature’s fury even though it has a 20% chance to also cast bulwark.

I don’t use symbiotic aspect because I don’t really have many times when I want a spell and it is on CD. I do use 1 hand and totem, with cool down reductions so even ultimate is quite regular. I may try it some day but I just dont have the slot at the moment.

Trample is great if you invest in a Trampleslide build. Trample really only shines when you get the aspect that makes it cast Landslide and the one that makes Landslide cast twice. Then you need the Symbiotic aspect with Nature’s Fury to lower cooldowns. Combined with Teramotes from having Landslide on your bar, it does massive damage.

Otherwise, you’re better off taking something like Hurricane for extra damage mitigation.

I do agree, but trample on its own can also do decent damage, and the stun is something as well… what I typically try to do when I run into a tough elite is rush him and use whatever I can to push him towards a wall so I can trample him into it and stun him… which can hit for over a million at higher levels, and then the landslides often help against the mobs coming in behind where me and the elite are fighting.
Then I basic attack the elite to trigger symbiotic aspect and use a combination of trample slides and bulwark pops to kill the elite (the bulwark can crit for several million and the trample slides can hit multiple times for smaller amounts).

Still… I found that this wasn’t working very well once I hit 100 and wanted to do 70+ nightmares… the mobs just hit too hard, you have to run some kind of kiting build or something because it’s so easy to get 1 shot by the elites at that level.
