I was planning on buying the expansion day 1, but not anymore. Why should I be expected to pay for content I won’t play? What happens in the future when no one is playing the mode anymore?
Forced coop is a HUGE mistake.

So dont do the co-op mode? Nothing drops there thats unique to that zone outside of cosmetics

We certainly need a straight answer on whether or not that coop dungeon is a must to progress. If it’s like PVP where we can ignore it then fine. I don’t care about cosmetics. But if player power is behind it and soloers can’t progress without doing it then let players know now so they can move on to an arpg that isn’t trying to be an MMO.

They cant be more explicit about being required to be in a group than what they showed

They already stated that it has no power locked behind it, just cosmetics and a higher drop rate of those retempering scrolls
Which can only be used once per item and drop globally including in the old world
Nothing is gated to expansion content

That’s good to know as I didn’t get to see the presentation. VERY good to hear. That was my one and only concern with VOH as everything else looks great.

To be fair, I bought the content of PvP in this game, and I don’t play it. Maybe I should ask for 10 bucks back. That’d be fair right? With the expansion only being 40, you could ask for $2.50 back.

PVP can be played solo though. It’s pretty easy to farm the currency without interacting with any other players.

You mean the PVE portion of the PVP zone can be played solo. That’s not real PvP. Have to be specific now. This is how Blizzard gets ya.

Yea you’d be better off looking for another game entirely, or getting with the idealists on this board and making your own game. I’d be the first beta tester if anyone actually grows a pair and does it though.

Just to clarify-Yours and most people’s issue is the one activity they said from the beginning would be co-op?
Not the fact that the rest of it appears to be barebones as anticipated for 1/2 the games’ standard version cost? Neat.
If you thought that was convincing anyone of anything, you got the wrong audience
So dont buy it? You miss out on nothing beyond the story
The story is worth the price imo
It’s not forced, you just don’t get to take part in most of the expansion content. But they aren’t holding a gun to your head, you can still play in the kiddie pool all by yourself. Don’t you feel grateful? Our masters are kind and generous to leave a few scraps on the table.
