Yet, here i find out we can only use the scroll of restoration 1 time on an item, after that its bricked for real. Do you know how easy it is to brick a GG item on 16 tries? Thatâs not a hard gamble.
Didnât they say you wouldnât brick items anymore?

Never. They said it will be harder to brick an itemâŠ

Why canât we use the scroll again? Whatâs the purpose of that? Make the scrolls more rare but donât punish a player for being extremely unlucky.

First of all, you do not brick an item. You upgrade the item and might fail doing so. Maybe donât call it âGG itemâ if you throw it to trash after a failed upgrade.
Second of all, your chance to get two desirable affixes in 16 tries is between 93.6% and 98.6% (depending on whether recipes have 3 or 4 affixes available, shorter is easier).
Edit: This is not exactly correct, because thereâs a limit on single affix rerolling, so the chance is a bit less.

They didnÂŽt it was said scroll can be used once per item. Long story short you can brick same item twice now! Fun, right?

They never said that. The first time they announced the temper scroll they specifically clarified that itâs a one use per item consumable.

Ist that how you explained yours Bad school works. ITS not Bad. Before the paper was empty, i Upgraded IT.

Thatâs a good analogy, but your reasoning is wrong. You (most people who argue against tempering) treat your empty paper as if it was an amazing piece of literature, just because you can imagine it to be.

LOL welcome to D4. Its always gonna be possible to brick and lose items.
If you canât brick items what is the point of the tempering system?

Tempering was supposedly a way to more efficiently scan through items to cut the chaff. No one expected it was going to be a new RNG gatekeeper.
We didnât save any time total. We just moved the time investment from scanning drops to standing at the blacksmith re-tempering.

Yea i get that. But fron that Point of View literaly every single item drop ist Bad until IT IS succesfully tempered. Which equals in 100 % crap as loot.
The real Problem ist the 2 layer If rng.
That ist Just Bad Design.

You just want a 5-affix item at the price of 3 (or even 2 if you consider enchanting).
Tempering gives you a huge advantage over a system where 5-affix item would have to just drop.
You should apply for a position at Blizz with math skills like those.
Btw, if you make an item not suitable for your build through crafting, itâs called bricking. So they do brick the item. Thatâs what the word means in that context.

It was unsuitable (as a 3 affix item) in the first place, so no bricking occured.
I Stil prefer the 5 or even 6 affix Drops.
ITS more unlikely to find a god drop but when you do you can at least keep IT.
