We’ll have been chasing Mephisto for 3 games IF we even fight him in the next one. They’ll make like 20 expansions.
I would strongly question how many “expansions” like this they can make. This looks like the worst one in the history of Blizzard. It’s downright laughable.

Next expansion will have the crusader back and it will cost 2x this and be half as long as this xpac.
Don’t like the ending
Hearing this makes me glad I didn’t pick it up. will grab it on sale later. Cost savings will go towards Monster Hunter Wilds.

When I was fighting his dog, I was afraid of two things:
- My game is gonna crashed again due to the bug I mentioned on the other threads
- I am worried this dog is the boss? I was like is that it? It makes Lilith way cooler in base D4 game

I plan on playing campaign tonight, but unfortunately I understand the word on the street is a lot of people are upset.
So I mean, other than the lackluster ending. How is the rest of the campaign though? I mean is it well executed? Is the writing good? Are the scenes captivating at all.
It’s kind of very disappointing to hear all the negatives so far. I loved the D4 base game campaign and actually think that’s one of Blizzard’s better one’s since Warcraft 3. So it’s a little disheartening to hear this so far.
I was wondering if Blizzard was going to be able to give justice to Mephisto’s character in just a single expansion, but it looks like Blizzard made up their mind how to answer that question. For better or worse. Could be better in the long run, but it’s still their responsibility to make a fully fleshed out campaign with a proper story and arc that feels complete by the end of it. I’m hoping that feeling is there somewhat. If not that’s quite the misfire. I’d rather quality expansions over quantity. 4 good ones seems better than like 8 mediocre ones.
I know not every one is crazy about Collector’s editions, but the fact VoH didn’t have a Collector’s edition this time, sat as an ill omen to me personally on this expansion.
Edit: And all I know is Reaper of Souls was Lit!!! I love that expansion and it really did the impossible of turning around that train wreck of base game we called D3. I think the world of RoS!! I want expansions like that. Even though it was 1 extra act, it honestly felt like 3 zones added into the base game (which it actually was.) It was a very diversified bunch of environmental zones, all with their own stories and finales, with very memorable bosses in each one.

Apparently the new zone just reminds you of the rest of the game. 
Present day Blizzard’s logic is for how little are you willing to pay. If you’re willing to pay the same price for much less then charging that more times is better from a business perspective.
This is definitely not that!

If you ask me, someone who doesn’t like the base D4 campaign, the expansion campaign is short and meh.
I’m enjoying though the journey going towards endgame. I feel the Kurast Undercity as a start is good, at least for me. Again, I have a different goal in mind. So my goal isn’t probably the same as yours.
However if I do say the campaign and story is good, it’s probably really good 
But don’t trust me.

That’s why I’ll wait for a sale. The campaign is the only thing about the expansion that interests me. I assumed it would be short, like a few hours.

Lol you sound like me when I was on the forums talking about, at least what I perceived the lack of content with WoW Dragonflight!! It’s been diminishing returns ever since WoW Legion pretty much. The last great expansion, but the trend kind of started after that expansion. Everything started to get less.
This is too bad, and I accidentally bought/pre purchased VoH on battlenet the other day not realizing it wouldn’t allow me to play on my ps5. My PC can’t handle D4, so I basically had to buy this expansion twice…O well. Tried to get a refund on the PC version but I guess they wouldn’t have it. Against their policy.
this was the worst campaign i’ve played in any game period… the dialogue was so cringe I think every character cried at least once. What an absolute joke dog sh** ending too, with the price tag on this expansion… to not even kill mephisto… dragging this horrible story line to the next expansion what a joke man, i will NOT be buying their next game. This was a seasonal patch at best.

I would pay top dollar to be able to skip the campaign completely. The clunkiness of questing and escape buttons not working and getting off my mount and getting back on to it for every quest turn in and every ridge I have to climb; turning in quests and nothing happening for 7 seconds – It’s almost enough to prevent me from buying the next expansion at this point.
It’s this awful annoyance I have to spend the day getting done so I can play the fun part of the game.
Didn’t feel short to me.

Thank you for this tidbit of information. I was right to skip this expansion at that garbage price. Sounds like it’s worth $10 then. Gonna wait for a sale.
