Yeah, I was going to mention spirit born in my post, but that attracts some of the dumbest people to make comments when you start attacking it.
The class single-handedly ruined the season. Anything where you can hold down left click with no time/currency investment and breeze through every difficulty tier shouldn’t exist.
I’ve been in T4 this entire entire week, and the only non-SB player ive seen was 1 necro spamming some trashcan looking black wave.
Why would anyone be excited to grind for 400 hours casting a black wave when someone else is hitting a button that aoes the screen and makes you move fast as a mount, for 30x the damage, by holding left click.

and they didn’t even get the area correct or ripped a lot out. where are the pea shooters? the little stabby guys? the council… oh that’s right, they threw them in another part of the game???
You technically can, but it’s extremely hard due to the game’s complexity. Builds will almost always excel at some content but suck at others, but that drives build diversity. You can make a build that has insane clear speed and screen coverage, but that build will likely suck at single target, making uber boss farming a nonstarter. You can also make a build that has crazy good single target DPS, but AoE farming strats are horribly inefficient.
The story for Diablo has always been very clear.
Bad things are that way, go murder them all. Once you get to hell, murder them some more.

Yes but Mephisto was a bada… and his brothers, though he was more in control, or so it seemed. they just ripped all that out.
D4 isn’t a remotely competitive game, so I disagree that it ruined the season. But it’s too easy to bring it online. PoE builds can wreck the game even more effectively than the best SB builds, but you’ve thoroughly earned the right to steamroll in PoE by the time you reach that point.
Playing Quill Volley is a big reason why I don’t miss my current league PoE character as much. I don’t have to endure the horrible builder->spender dynamic of D4, nor be handcuffed by spending 3/4 of my game play waiting on cooldowns to come up. I just piano my cooldowns and hold down right click and melt everything.
So there are many SB builds.

There are others though that are from what I’m seeing.
It’s a shame isn’t it.
It really is the nostalgia that brings us back.
I bought this expansion hoping for that epic leadup and showdown with a crazy story arc against the lord of hatred, not where’s waldo… you know I don’t want to spoil anything.

All they had to do was go back over all the cut scenes from the previous games regarding Mephisto. And the books.
How did they manage to make him so weak??? I mean at this point you have to laugh. Or leave.

It’s every major game, go to their forums and nothing but miserable SOBs who hate everything.
Personally think most of it comes from content parasites, negativity draws more views on average than positivity. And much of Twitches audience just absorbs that negativity.
No. There is way more than “normal” lately.

i think it’s pretty legit. Why?
Because we have the worst campaign ever in Diablo series, absolutly unbalanced game - ultra OP new class(somehow broken builds were known before VoH launch, Blizzard did noting), still one of the worst itemization in genre and all this is seasoned with constant crashes of the game for many, low FPS, etc., in short, technical problems.
There was a chance that dark citadel will be something great(i gotta admit that for 1st try it was pretty interesting) but overall this raid thing doesn’t belong to ARPG at all.
So yeah imho as for now VoH is a huge failure in all aspects.
Except one thing - my muscle mommy monk.
And the worst thing - still no end-game, scaling destroyed every step of progress, no dopamine hits at all in this game.

Thanks for your feedback. I genuinely was seeing all the negative posts and it matched what I felt.
I tend to not say much, but this feels off. Big time. In so many ways.

It also fair to say more people would visit a community forum to vent frustration over to display enjoyment. Happy players are too busy playing the game they are happy with to bother to come complain lol

Then I kept seeing all the negative posts. And wondered if this was the majority.
I get what you mean. Though I don’t post much, I had thought of doing like a pro/con.

I still think it’s that, it’s just self perpetuating. Hating is the way you earn status on forums.

At least Mephisto becoming a literal Anti-Christ was really cool, and I’m hoping they do something good with it later on. The campaign is still overall very poor compared to every other Diablo campaign experience, including Diablo 1.

If they can pull off Mephisto playing some sort of “anti-christ”, that would be so everything. But, I’m not sure they can. I hope they surprise me.
They need to jump on it. Great foreshadowing chance.
The complaints have been out of hand for Diablo since since release, this isn’t anything new.
