Tried the Vault Loom once , killed the level 100 boss , nothing dropped , done . This is the most obvious time waster that has been put in so far. LOL , you dont even get glyph xp. BTW , I have 3 stacks of cores for free.
Yeh lets all clog up the forums to make groups. Great design idea.
I would like to see SSF had higher drop chance, and for groups stay still becoz every single player get 4x loots for spending 1x mats
I’m convinced that the backlash to Immortal’s forced grouping got (an actually pretty good) group finder ripped out by tonedeaf management, lol.
PLEASE someone correct me if I am wrong and this has been changed in an update but my understanding is that if you are in a group while doing this and you choose to divide and conquer the pre-vaults, you will be ported to your party member if they are engaged in the last room of their pre-vault. This causes all sorts of issues.
-I do NOT share your feeling that this is a group activity.
-In your defense though, having to do all these pre-vaults before the actual thing is so flipping annoying that I don’t know why they didn’t change this in the last “emergency-oops-we-don’t-listen-to-players-patch”.
no you dont get ported to another persons room. only if you are a sorc using fireball enchantment because of a bug
Well that sounds VERY weird and also, thank you. Will test the divide and conquer method now!
You should - takes 5’ to complete instead of 20
that is IF you can find a group of course
I’m fortunate enough to have some guildies that still play almost every night, so looking forward to trying it out!
Well said - though the design of the “Loom” itself is idiotic so this is more of a double down and lesson in…
imo - Whomever had this idea is more than likely in the upper tiers in the dev hierarchy at HQ. It should have been shot down or at least picked apart. Only way I can see it having made it into live.
Because anyone with 1% of a brain would know immediately that this is incredibly imbalanced vs the average solo player - aside from it being a terrible idea to begin with.
The last things players are asking for is more bloody ‘go get this thingamabob~doohickey and put it in the orifice/on the pedestal’ etc.
ONE, maybe two lanes/paths would have been more than sufficient especially with the summoning requirements.
No no…go collect all the materials to summon THEN enter a dungeon with 4 more requirements - basically go do 4 between half to full length dungeons just to fight a boss.
Brain. Dead. Design.
A Four path QUAD FETCH QUEST to fight a boss is frankly flat out ridiculous.
I’m quite surprised there wasn’t indignation and blowback when they told us the original drop chance for a Unique Tuning Stone was .25%.
What hubris and ignorance to have the convoluted Loom design and have these stones further gated behind a (won’t stick the . to the .25%) .25% drop chance.
Their “Fix” taking it up to a whopping .5% and saying “additionally chest has a 3% CTD” - is indicative of the possibility that the Chest never had a chance to drop the stones INITIALLY.
The only way I can see it being balanced properly:
1 Player(SOLO) offers materials - “Pick Your Path”(only 1 fetch quest required) - Dungeon is LOCKED - no shortcut invites. It’s a locked instance. Can’t do it? only way to reset is exit dungeon and select “Reset Dungeons”.
Same goes for 2 and 3 Players respectively.
2 Players Choose 2 Paths and 3 Players Choose 3 Paths.
Scale it according to how many in party at time of opening and lock it to the party or solo.
they should fix it immediately by having only 1 key required to open. but any additional key open instantly rewards you by more XX zoltun wards and a perma dungeon long shrine buff .
and the fourth key refunds you x number of igneus cores
(XX being the number to open the two boxes. also depending on if malphas traps leeches your wards in the first place then opening more than 1 key might be a good idea)
They’re so concerned with not letting a specific chunk of the playerbase get too far ahead, not realizing that they’re going to be even further ahead when the average players don’t play enough to even see some of the items. If they’re going this route with boring, standardized items - at least up the drop rate so people have a complete build online in a reasonable amount of time - not the entire season. Let people finish early, maybe be more convinced to play another class because the progression is smoother. But what do I know, I just love to play games I’m not the one trying to profit off of them.
Remember on the other thread, the guy who got ubers stones for his 2 toons, got bored for nothing left to do?
Be thankful, you’re still playing. ROFL
