Im not in that magic thinking way of view. The company behind D4 have data and years to work in it.
They build a narrative about D4 as a competitor of PoE 1 and 2, for players that came from D3.
Im in the group of people that like D3 because is different from PoE and D2… and I did a bad decision buying D4. D4 is fine, have a great esthetic and story, a gameplay easy to understand and what to do in the game. None of that is sufficient to repeat the same from lv50 to 100, with the need to have luck in the equipment, luck in the legendary power and luck in the forge.
Soo its not a misaligned expectation, its how the game charge me with time at every action when other games at this years give you more for your time.
